simple accurate and affordable.
tested this as soon as I got it. it passed. very pleased because trying to find a sensor thermometer that is both accurate simple to use and affordable has been insane. iv tried and tested so many in the past week that iv had to return for the above reasons. I need maintain a temp for a long periods of time this is perfect because now don't have to constantly watch the temp as the alarm is so easy to set up and will alert me if both the temp drops or raises.

Gives me correct readings and I would recommend it.
This works great, it would have been better being back lit though. Its really easy to use and I use it to monitor my sourdough. I have to move it a round from time to time to get a more accurate reading, but it does the job. I have checked it with another probe i have had a while and they were more of less the same, so its reliably giving me the reading. Because its out side of the proofer I am using, it easy to change the temperatures if it becomes too or hot or cold. I recommend it.

Died after eighteen months
Got one of these 18 months ago to use in home brewing. Did the job well, but sadly now it's died. Good things: + Easy to read display. + Accurate (until it isn't, see below). + Probe copes reasonably well with being dunked in a brew boiler at 100C for 90mins at a time. The plastic handle end of the probe is a bit bent now after going slightly soft in the heat but that didn't seem to stop it working. + The max & min alarms are useful to alert you to your brew coming to the boil. Not so good things: - It now under reads by a good 10 to 15C. The accuracy didn't gradually go off, this happened all of a sudden. - The max & min alarms get incredibly annoying when they go off every two or three minutes whilst your brew is on the boil. Summary: great value at the price, but as the saying goes buy cheap, buy twice.
