No needs to spend £££ on a brand name
I bought this as a "temporary" alternative until i could afford a certain french brand, however i must say after a few uses im completely over the moon with my purchase and have no need to replace this anytime soon,Pros- Quality: The build quality is fantastic, aside from a few small imperfections along where the cast iron meets the enamel, you would think this pan was at least 3-4 x the price paid-Handling: The wide handles make it easy to move from stove top to oven which trust me is a very big pro-Ease of use: I must say as well even though it doesn't advertise as being non stick this pot was incredibly easy to clean as well- Heat Retention: The underside of the lid has these little dimples which other brands dont have (some do so worth your research) they allow liquid that is steamed off to evaporate back down onto food, pretty much creating a dish that self bastes itselfWorth Noting (Cause i couldn't think of any real Cons)- Not dish washer friendly but duh its cast iron-The metal knob on the top of the pot is far from heat proof so be careful and always grab with a glove or heat proof cloth- May be slightly to small to fit a meal for a large familyLike i said i now have no need for a more expensive dish that does the same job, yeah i know im normally weary of reviews that say this to but in this case its honestly true

Love this pot.
I was deciding whether to spring for Le Creuset but glad I didn't now as this one is excellent for the money. Very heavy and sturdy, easier to clean off any burnt-on food than any of my allegedly non-stick pans. Handles don't get too hot to hold while stirring. I use it on my electric hob for sauteeing and then put it in the oven. I'm using this casserole dish for everything now, it's great.

It does work great on the stovetop as well
It is heavy and durable. Sometimes it gets so heavy that I struggle to carry the pot carefully into the oven. It does work great on the stovetop as well. Being made of cast iron enamel, I have to worry less about the cleaning process compared to a seasoned cast iron pot. Besides the weightiness, the other issue I encountered was that it takes up the WHOLE of your oven which may pose a problem if you want to cook more than one thing at the same time (this can be solved by getting a smaller pot)

Stylish alternative at lower cost!
Much cheaper then Le Creuset, and original in style. The extended curved handles mean that they give a secure grip and get less hot, with better balance. It does not look like a cheap imitation, but its own thing. Seems to be wearing well after 2 months. Lid fits well which is a problems with some brands.

Can't fault it
I've been using this pot a couple times a week for a couple months now. I've only used it for baking bread. I put it in the oven empty and with the lid on and let it heat to just under 250c. Although I've read of some people's pot's enamel cracking when doing so (don't know what brand, mind), I haven't had any issues with this one. It cooks the bread well. No complaints from me!Update: I've had this pot about a year and a half now. I still mainly use it for bread though I've also used it on the stove. No cracks. Still going strong.

Fantastique!
Absolutely fantastic, use it every other day for various dishes on the hob or in the over, hasn't failed me after over a year! which considering the price is very good. Shows no sign of giving up.. a very hard wearing piece of equipment!

Nightmare to clean
The dish is aesthetically pleasing and has a decent weight. It arriv d undamaged. It worked very on electric hob. The lid handle does get hot though so be careful. What I’m really disappointed about is that it doesn’t appear to be nonstick. I cooked navarin of lamb in it and it was a real nightmare attempting to clean it. I won’t be buying this brand again and don’t recommend it.

Well worth the money.
Bought for my husband for Christmas. Wanted a casserole dish and my budget wouldn't stretch to the price of a Creuset (my DH is French ;). Really impressed with the quality and weight. He has yet to use it but got out his Larousse cook book the minute he opened it so I think we may be using it quite frequently in the future!

Spitzenklasse Gusseisen Topf
