I bought this to perform basic operations on numbers in an exam
I bought this to perform basic operations on numbers in an exam. I already have a Casio scientific calculator (probably about 25 years old) but I find that entering numbers rapidly on it is awkward due to the small keys, plus the small display is not that clear.Unit dimensions: 28.8mm(H) x 103mm(W) x 147mm(D)Things I like about the unit:1. Large digit display with thousand separators.2. Comparatively large keys with nice feel and colour coding.3. An OFF button, although it automatically switches off after 6 minutes of inactivity.4. Back space key, very handy because it allows you to successively remove the last digit displayed.5. Plus / minus key.Things I don't like about the unit:1. This unit has a two way power source, solar and internal battery (LR54), but replacing the internal battery requires you to take it to a dealer, or dismantle the calculator at your own risk. Why didn't they put a battery access panel on the back of the unit!?2. Instructions are for several other calculator models besides the one that you've bought!3. Currency Conversion: instructions don't state that you have to HOLD DOWN the (rate set / %) key and keep it held down until the 'Euro' and 'Set Rate' appears. I was pressing the key continuously and it wasn't working.4. Only two rubber feet are provided on the underside at the bottom. It is fairly firm on a smooth desk though. The instructions talk about converting euro to deutsche marks! Germany has been using the euro since 1 January 1999!

Works OK
This works fine - the only reason for 4 stars is that the 00 button and the 0 button should be swapped over, as the 0 should really be part of the main number pad. I have used the wrong button because of this. I like the back button to delete the last entry rather than to have clear and start again.

Excellent addition to my home office set up
I recently changed to working from home and in my job I have to calculate income figures on a dily basis and was tired of using my mobile phone calculator app because sometimes my battery would run out and I don't have a spare plug socket close to my PC. This calculator is very nice, the metal finish makes it feel premium and the buttons are just right, not too light or heavy to press.

Clear display and easy to use
Came promptly. Made in China. Supplier in Switzerland!! Very easy to use and read. Didn't know from the advert that it was a euro converter calculator. Didn't need this facility, but perfectly adequate as a "normal" calculator for everyday use.

Basic desk calculator
This is a basic desk calculator with larger buttons and an easy to read display. Nothing fancy but good enough for general calculating that you don’t want to do either on your keyboard, phone or tablet. Sturdy and small enough to stow without needing a load of space but large enough for good functionality.

I so love this calculator!
I had a Casio for years and years. Sadly it finally had to be replaced. I foolishly bought a replacement that wasn't a Casio. It turned out lacking in so many ways. Then I saw and ordered the Casio MS-80VERII. Fantastic bit of kit. Life has improved no end and it's a pleasure to use. Buy with confidence if you are considering this product. Great value for money and a pleasure to use.

Not so easy to use
I bought this one because of the maker - Casio - which I believe is the best in the market, but this calculator is quite complicated. Had to look for instructions to learn how to add percentages to the number

Good office companion
Good office calculator. I still miss the ability to replay previous calculations like on a scientific calculator, but the nice clear screen, large buttons and long battery life make this a great office companion which doesn’t take up much room on your desk.
