Very cleverly designed gadget for help with getting in and out of any car. It was recommended by an Occupational Therapist when I was recovering from a broken hip. It easily fits into the door frame then easily stows in the door pocket so the door can close. It’s sturdy, comfortable in the hand , very easy to use and to transfer from one car to another. It gave me access to cars with low or high seat when my hip was very sore and stiff. I would definitely recommend it.

This works in a citroen C3. I bought another model as they all say work in any car but it didn't work in my mums C3. I contacted Citroen who advised that I try this model next. It actually works. It doesn't go fully in but it is sturdy enough to support my mum getting out of the car. It has a belt cutter & window breaker . I doubt at 85 she would get out of a window easily, if at all, but it's a nice extra to have.

I purchased this aid on the advice of an NHS Occupational Therapist. I am quite disappointed that she gave such poor guidance, as it has not met my loved ones needs in the way I was led to believe it would. I hope my detailed review helps others decide if this aid is right for them before they make a purchase.

I recently purchased one of these for my very elderly, stroke disabled Mother. It has transformed our lives (O.K. just the getting in and out of the car thing - but all of you carers know what I mean!) Then I had cause to purchase a second one as my husband had leg surgery that requires him to be non weight bearing for twelve weeks. This product is brilliant, no more groping filthy car doors, no more unsteady exits from vehicles, no more undignified, messy hauling out into wheelchairs or onto crutches. So easy to use, so stable, cannot recommend it enough, it does exactly what it says it will, has fitted every vehicle (from large pickup to tiny 2 door and is simple enough for an 85 year old to use. Brilliant.

Great concept. Unfortunately, when installed in my Vauxhall Meriva, there was very little of the bar's length available for use because of the front edge of the car's back door. Poor old dad would have been trapping his fingers to properly grip this handle, and it just doesn't sit right if mounted pointing towards the front of the car so isn't stable enough to provide the intended support. Sadly, I had to return this item for a refund.

A very handy item which assisits those with reduced mobility when getting in and out of the front passenger seat. It will fit most cars, but make sure that the fixture attached to the door pillar has the "loop" which the curved metal end has to pass through. The bar can be positioned "in-line" with the seat or at right angles - the latter position is especially helpful when someone is trying to get our of the car, because it gives support without impeding movement. All in all, a worthwhile buy.

The handybar is a secure solid stable fit in the striker plates on both my 2015 BMW 5 series Touring and my 2016 MINI Clubman enabling me to give elderly neighbours lifts to events in and around the village without the struggle to get them in and out of the car. The metal hook is designed to fit into the striker and remains clear of the door posts on both cars so there is no risk of damage to the cars bodywork/paint finish. Although more expensive than rival brands the handybar is solid and well designed so I am pleased with my purchase.

Helps getting out of the car a lot. Nice to have the ability to break a window in emergency, would have given it 5, just don't know if it would cut a seat belt, hard to test without actually cutting a seat belt.

Die Ein-/Ausstiegshilfe ist für meinen Vater (84 Jahre). Damit kann er nun viel leichter aus meinem Auto aussteigen. Die Handybar braucht er nur zum aussteigen.
