Great Horror but..?
This is a great insight into the weird lives, people so often live, & the madness to do with medical science & desperation for organ donors, which is a criminal underworld near everywhere if surgeons take money to traffick people for their Donors & then illegally kill them off...Racially biased leaves too much hope clinging on hard done by black people, but sadly for other races, it is probably more accurate that you can only use organ transplants from people with same blood types of which Whites & Blacks are different & incompatible as donors, but interesting insight to the levels of horror & hatred that can or does exist of people don't get their facts straight ...The film The Island is probably more accurate & less racist on all sides ...

This reminded me of the 1975 Stepford Wives Original- thoroughly enjoyable
Was concerned on disc arrival as smelt fusty and packaging very damaged. So immediately checked it out and the actual disc was okay. Very enjoyable little film, felt like a 1970’s film so was surprised to read it released 2017.

A good film but not as good as many reviewers have suggested
l watched this movie and had high, high hopes having been advised by friends and reviewers not to read anything what so ever about it, not to read reviews, not to read opinion pieces or previews or anything at all really, as it may spoil it.For some time now I've had strong opinions about this spoiler idea, I dont think it is really possible to review or preview anything without giving some clues as to the story or content, it would make no sense to write something which is so vague as to give absolutely nothing away, and what would be the point of reading it too. I also am wary of films which depend up gimicks, startling content or surprises and twists, often it is easy to anticipate the endings of such films (the sixth sense and fight club I felt were very easy to predict, to name just two) and often it is these kinds of features which can be spoiled. In fact I often think that very good films are those which the content is known, its become part of pop culture or film cliche, and yet they still deserve to be watched and often are excellent to watch even though you know the conclusion, I'm think of Star Wars, Psycho or many other Hitchcock films. This movie (spolier alert, if you are into that sort of thing) was incredibly reminiscent of Stepford Wives, at the very least it bores heavily from that film cliche, I remember seeing, if I'm not wrong, episode of The Outer Limits, which featured an elitist prep school which was able to produce amazing changes in character among its student body, that was like this movie too, because it made use of the same tropes and cliches. Perhaps viewers may not be aware of the Greek myth which deals with sailors and sirens which I think it also borrows from but I was and it kind of telegraphed this too. So I found it kind of predictable, as a result I would not give it five stars, once it "mystery" was revealed there was still a bit to go and watching it felt like a bit of a waste of time for me (sorry), and while it would have made a fantastic, above par episode of a TV series such as Outer Limits, I do not really think it was worth a feature length production. Now, that said, the plus points, which is a brilliantly cast feature, all the actors and actresses put in a great performance. It is a very balanced performance too, it maintains suspense for the most part, until the final reveal, more or less, there is a good employment of humour at key points lightening the mood a little in preparation for the next scene. It is also beautifully shot, I dont think, besides a lot of Hitchcock movies which did it for the first time or at least most memorably, I have seen such a great use of cinematic filming techniques. This is worth mentioning as its noticing this which had motivated me to watch the film more than once, the story and performances alone would not have.I have heard reviewers compare this to "It Follows", of the two I think that "It Follows" is definitely the better movie, its more original and sort of manages to carry on beyond the moment of its own "big reveal" and you still feel like watching it to conclusion, which I did not really feel like watching this film. The comparison is fair, perhaps, in so far as they are both "indy" movies, with that sort of "have you seen?", viral marketing gimicks buzz about it but I would say it ends there.

wow.....WOW
This film by far ...man I mean everything is perfect about it ,I still have shivers ....funny thing is, I did not have any high hopes whatsoever ,I heard mentioned in a color grade tutorial or something like that ,I dont quite remember ,but it stuck in the back of my mind ,and finally just stumbled upon it , I said let's give it a go, so no huge block buster run time ,like 2-2,5 hours ,no huge marvel like marketing etc etc , but men it puts all of thos e into shame ....I can say with absolute certainty that this is a perfect story ,perfect film perfect acting perfect script, story development ....again WOOOOW 10 stars out of 5!!!!

A modern take on psychology of psychopathy and how it plays out as racism, with a dash of humour
A genuinely unique plotline that hasn't been seen before. It sits somewhere in the gamut of psychological thriller. The most disturbing aspect for me was the apparent self-awareness of racism within its central characters, yet their own deliberate self-analysis and questioning which strikes you as the ultimate, most believable plea for understanding is still just part of their vile delusion. A true representation of psychopathy having gone down the wrong path (as usual) and then relentlessly pursuing its decided goal. Elsewhere the film turns throwback familiarity into something deeply sinister. A very enjoyable film which will have wide appeal, but avoid if you just like gentle happy meanderings with plot twists resolved in minutes so you never feel uncomfortable for too long. The part that didn't work for me (and it is a very small part) is that some humour is introduced with the inclusion of the central character's best friend. Bear with me here. The humour in movies with devastating action such as Die Hard 1, 2 and 3 adds something, as it triggers a welcome release from your involvement in John McClain's predicaments. Here it feels like it's been grafted on like an afterthought. But the main problem is that the premise of the film is so horrific and the portrayal so haunting that it should have been left as a purely psychological thriller. That is, when the film ends with resolution and the viewer is released from it, they are left with a feeling that the resolution is barely anything better than the worst imaginable outcome.

This is how you do horror
This movie is incredibly intelligent. On the surface, it has all the horror movie tropes in it: jump scares, misdirection, twist ending, suspense, thrills, killsBut it’s also incredibly well written for those that pay attention to the environment and small details hidden throughout scenes and dialogue. A thinking man’s movie. The deeper social commentary on black and white history and relationships is also what makes this movie top tier for me.Pointless slaughter movies can be fun and I like my fair share of them, but intelligent, well-written, satisfying horrors like Get Out are why I enjoy movies so much.If you haven’t seen it and wondering what type of “horror” this is… I’d say it’s more unsettling.. like Michael Douglas “The Game” with about the same amount of comedy/satire.

Perfect Movie
Jordan Peele has blessed us, when he decided to start directing. I still believe this is his best movie, but every one of them is great. If you want the best that modern horror has to offer, check this out.
