Happy Birthday Card for Dogs made with Edible Rawhide - "Greet Me Eat Me" from Reg and Ruby (Small)

My dogs are spoiled rotten, they get birthday presents as well as doggy advent calendars and Christmas prezzies. So when I saw this card... well, I just had to. Even if it's only ever a one-time thing.This edible card is 4.5" x 4.5", two pieces of parchment-thin rawhide. Red coloured rawhide strings hold the pieces together like a card,"Happy Birthday" is punched out on the front, and is decorated with a bone shaped piece of rawhide with a coloured rawhide strip imitating a candle - all attached with another rawhide string to hold it all in place.A black cardboard 'pillow' envelope with a cream coloured panel to write in completes the ensemble, and a slip of paper to write your greeting - so this can be posted - either to your dog via the postie, or to send through the post to another dog - a friend's dog, or to a dog whose owner you want to impress... I'm always well impressed if a friend gives me a present that's meant for my dogs.I'd love it if I got one of these through the post for one of my mutts.But rawhide can be tricky, so I wouldn't let one of my dogs just take this off and scoff it somewhere hidden, it'd have to be enjoyed in plain sight like pig's ears or other things that have the potential for bits to get stuck, and I wouldn't give this to a puppy or a dog that was very possessive over a food item. But for my soppy GSDs this makes a fine gift.

Card arrived a bit battered. This is more to do with careless postman forcing padded envelope through door. Royal Mail have previous for this. Salvaged by placing between pages of book. Dog enjoyed gnawing through card and wax a novelty for his young owner.

The dog enjoyed giving it to mum as a birthday card and then enjoyed it even more when mum gave it back to her to 'look after.' Enjoyed by all!
