Kit for Kids Kidtex Foam Travel Cot Mattress

This has really helped our 16 month old when sleeping in our Mothercare travelcot. It’s the correct size and you can fit the mothercaretravelcot sheet ms around it and the “base” pad/mattress that comes with the cot. It folds well to 1/4 its size and adds what appears to be enough sturdiness and cushioning for well over 10kg of child. Our son was waking more often during the night and we bought this to hopefully remedy it and so far so good. Well made and travel friendly.

This is a great mattress.Pros: Bought to fit in red kite travel cot and fits fine. 5 month old sleeps on it with no issues. Folds into 4 segments so nice and light an compact. Arrived promptly.Cons: Does not come with a cover apart from the plastic bag it arrives in. There are small gaps in padding between segments to allow folding but this pushes together once in the cot and does not seem to bother baby.Would buy again.

Nice idea, obviously great for travelling, but mattress is still very thin and when you put an elasticated sheet on it, the sheet can pull the edges in making it bend at the joins (maybe that's more of a suggestion to not use elasticated sheets with this one, not anything bad with the mattress - just something to note). After trying it on our 9 month old and having no luck, we've gone with a thicker 7cm mattress to try and get more comfort. Maybe an older child would be fine with the thin mattress.

Item does seem a little thin, but is the advertised depth. My daughter now has to move her baby son around alternate nights as his head was causing a dent in the mattress until she started to do this. He sleeps on this mattress on top of the one in his travel cot every night, as she is unable to fit a normal cot in her bedroom, and he seems to be comfortable on it. It's a lot better than lying on just the one provided with the travel cot, which is even thinner. The mattress folds into 3 easily & fitted into a suitcase to be taken on holiday no problem.

Our 15-month-old daughter always sleeps badly in travel cots on holiday which doesn't surprise me as the mattresses are always so thin! This additional mattress is also pretty thin but wasn't too bad when used in conjunction with the mattress supplied with the cot. I had no way of knowing the size of the cot we would be using on holiday (it turned out to be a Chicco one) so wasn't surprised when the mattress was too small, but it didn't seem to bother our daughter who slept pretty well. We would have paid hundreds to get a full nights sleep on holiday so this purchase is well worth it!

It's not very thick, but it does the job. I use this in his travel cot for for naps during the day & will be using it when we go away next month. If he was using the cot for more than daytime naps and the occasional night away, I would buy a thicker & better quality mattress. That being said, this mattress is on par with the one that was in his Moses basket. I bought this because it's foldable and easy to transport and am happy with my purchase.

Our 8 month old has always found settling in his travel cot challenging, not helped by the fairly thin, hard mattress it came with, with a slick waterproof material over it. even with a bed sheet he remained uncomfortable.This product is significantly squishier than the usual mattresses included with travel cots. It folds to the size of a large suitcase, ideal for taking on holiday, and generally little'un seems a lot happier.
