It came with the corners chipped like most of the other reviews mention. But that was expected and it wasn't anything a little paint couldn't cover. One corner is super flaky, but it should be good with some wood glue. It seems like the base is made from a different type of material, maybe a composite material, rather than the harder wood the rest is made from. Could be why it's not able to withstand the warehousing and shipping process.
