BMW Genuine Under-Seat Mount Emergency First Aid Box Empty 52107044958

Bought this but not as a first aid box. Essentially, it resides under the driver's seat whereas the one with the first aid kit sits under the passengers. Instead of being filled up with bandages etc, it serves as a cubby hole for sun glasses and other nick knacks. There isn't much readily accessible storage in a Z4 so this is just the job! Easy fit when you have the mounting bracket and securing screws. Note, the screws are out and out BMW specials and just about impossible to source elsewhere. This means you will pay an astonishing price for 3 off self tappers and despite that price they are not made of gold!

Product is passable, barely. The problem I had with the old under-seat compartment has replicated with this one - keeps popping open and won't shut properly. Seems to be a product defect , which BMW ought to have dealt with.

Bit small for a non-BMW kit (e.g. I bought one from the AA, which has too much stuff to fit in the box) so it may be worth getting the relatively expensive BMW kit as well.
