Quad LED Lites, Blade mQX

Simple, effective upgrade for your Blade mQX
Using small zipties, I was able to install the lighting harness in a couple of minutes. White LEDs up on the front arms, and one red led and one green led each on the back arms. It essently connects between into your mQX power input connector, and your battery connector somthere is no screwing around with wiring. It's very light and didn't alter the flight characteristics of the mQX at all nor does it appear to affect flight time.The great thing about it, however, is the dramatic increase in visibility you have versus an unlit mQX. In daylight, it's still very visible and the blinking red and green tail lights help the pilot maintain orientation more more easily and for much further distances. And the bright, always-on white front LEDs help the pilot keep the front of the mQX pointed in the right direction well out of the non-lit range.All that said, the true value, and fun, is that you can fly at dusk and at night. With the lights on, it's is incredibly easy to fly...probably easier that during the day. Especially at altitude where the LEDs shine up under the props and can be seen clearly beyond 50' feet. And it looks crazy cool zinging around at night with the lights on all four corners.

Works for Syma X1
Used these on my Syma X1. They work fine. You need to figure out how you want to mount them. I ran the wires up the arms and used heat shrink tubes around the arms to hold it all in place. I ended up cutting the adapter and soldering the leads straight to the battery power leads on the battery terminal. They work as described.

works but quality not so hot
They work and they are bright and even in the daytime are very helpful when you're too far away from your small quad to know which way it is facing. My gripe is that one of the connection points just broke. I'm not the best at soldering so need some practice before attempting to fix them for fear that I'll met it up.

well worth the time and effort.
excellent performance - perfect viewing : does not draw battery down ( maybe only a few seconds) . I just simply took clear tape to where I wanted them mounted. The Quad was already a blast to fly and then this added even more fun. So mush fun to step out the back door of the house after dark and just toss the quad up and fly. The two blinking and two solid white is well thought out for keeping track and orientation. You could not build the same on the RC bench for less.

Great upgrade!
These lights are perfect for anyone wanting to fly their quad after dark. I bought this kit to use on my Syma x1,even though it was designed for the mXQ, the kit fit my x1 nicely. The package arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone wanting to upgrade their quadcopter, the lights are very bright and are a great help in keeping orientation of your aircraft. Because of this product, night flying is my newest obsession!

Might work OK on the mQX
Great looking in low light but the battery lead is too short for the 180QXHD if LEDs are mounted under each rotor. Very difficult to connect & disconnect.

Buy some colored LED caps or re-paint these. Otherwise, don't waste your money!
They work but they are so cheap! The LEDs were painted on for color and they did a horrible job. The light emitted is white in color with a tinge of red or green. I would invest in caps but that would add weight to the quad. All in all, this product was a significant disappointment!

let there be light !!!!!
just as advertised, like the lights on the quad a lot better to see at dusk. very easy to install with blenderm tape, it's really for foam planes but works great for the lights. !!!!
