Microhearth Grill Pan for Microwave Cooking, Lime

Q: I understand it can't be submerged in water. If that's true, how is it cleaned?

I haven't had any trouble cleaning it - it wipes out easily with a paper towel or sponge, you can get the inside wet, you just can't submerge it.

Q: Is there a recipee book other than the one that it comes with?

Yes, Amazon carries a recipe book with over 100 recipes.

Q: This carries the Proposition 65 Warning, can someone tell me why?

That only applies to people who live in California. There are hundreds of chemicals on a list that if even remotely suspected of causing cancer or birth defects the product has to have a Proposition 65 Warning on it. I don't know what specific chemical the Grill Pan contains that triggered the warning.

Q: does this need to be preheated?

I've found that to brown things it is a good idea to preheat the pan (with lid on) before putting the food in. I usually give 2 minutes on high before doing chicken breasts, fish, or hotdogs/sausages. Otherwise the food is overcooked before it browns.
