I've tried many different types of pillow in the past to try and deal with severe neck and shoulder pain, headaches and poor sleep. I chose this pillow having read through numerous pillow reviews on Amazon and other websites and noted several reviewers commenting that it takes a little time to get used to. I have been using the pillow for one month and can confirm that this is the case. For the first week the pillow felt like a brick. Initially, my neck pain worsened and I experienced even worse headaches in the mornings. Gradually, over the next few days, the pain moved from my neck further down my back until it had disappeared completely by the end of the second week. My headaches had also gone and I can only assume that it was severe muscle tension in my head, neck and back gradually being released as the pillow supported my head in a better position. By the third week the pillow felt much more comfortable and I am now able to sleep for much longer periods.The pillow is much smaller than a conventional pillow and I was initially concerned that I would roll off it as I tended to move around a lot in bed but I have found that I now have a much more settled sleeping pattern and move far less. I sleep on my sides and on my back feeling comfortably supported and have not rolled off the pillow at all.I am very impressed with this pillow and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one in future. I would happily encourage others to try one but allow time for it to become effective.

The media could not be loaded. The pillow is exactly as is described, my order came very quickly and came very well wrapped in its own bag with a zip for easy future storage when not in use, the pillow itself had its own cover which was a soft material in keeping with the memory foam, the pillow was firm but would mould to the shape of the user. The temperature control works when pressure is applied to the pillow on which ever desired side, the cold side was very effective and I could feel the effects of the cold mat instantly when pressure was applied, the normal side provided the comfort and warmth expected from a memory foam pillow, over all great quality and comfort. I found the support on my neck and back was beneficial even after the first time of useThe only down side to the pillow would be that it is factionally smaller than a normal sleeping pillow which means if you wanted to put another cover over the top to protect the outer layer a normal pillow case is too big.

My husband has MS and he has a lesion along the back of his neck. The only pillow that provides him with comfort is a cooling memory foam pillow we had bought at a Bed Bath Beyond store in the States, so we were looking for something similar when we moved to the UK. On paper this pillow seemed perfect and what we were looking for but it turns out to be a huge dissapointment! First, it is smaller than a regular sized pillow like other recent reviewers have mentioned. It looks ridiculous on a UK king sized (US queen) bed. Second, the outer cover feels scatchy and made of cheap material. You can't feel the coolness of the gel through the cover. Third, it is too firm and you don't get that "melting/sinking into feeling" from quality memory foam. Fourth, it has been 4 months since our purchase but the pillows still smell funny. We are only keeping these pillows because I hate to waste £80 (bought 2) but we are only keeping them for guests.

5 stars for comfort definitely.And for quality of pillow , workmanship, value for money, delivery , service .The only not so great thing is the airing before use time . I know full well as i use these pillows regularly that they need to be aired before use , but this one took forever and more! Probably it didn't help that i couldn't air it outside as it was raining but the airing cupbard would have normally sufficed, not this time it was a couple of days and it still smelled of the stuff they treat it with . I mean, it even say on the instructions to air it overnight before use, this took much longer. But it is very comfy and the cool gel doesn't slip and move . All in all a great pillow, just people wanting to buy it should know it will take a while to air it so don't get rid of the current pillow yet

This is not a cheap pillow but it does offer exceptional support...for the period it lasted anyway. The cooling gel is really effective and far better than any other I have used. Unfortunately the cooling effect of the gel did not last as long as I would have expected and became redundant after a couple of months. The pillow is also a lot smaller than a standard pillow so we were unable to get replacement pillowcases...the one supplied has a luxurious soft feel but picks up a lot of bobbles/fluff etc very easily...these would not come out in the wash. I would buy again if these flaws could be resolved, but at this price the current version is simply not worth it.

I tried all kinds of pillows and invariably the tend to disappoint after a few days - either they are stay too hard or they soften up too much or they simply flatten. Even with expensive down pillows - feather's start coming through the 'feather proof' lining. But this pillow is exactly as advertised. It does feel hard when you press your hand against, but when you lay you head on it you slowly sink just enough to be feel like you are floating. It's a weird sensation the first couple of times, but now I can't believe how I managed without it. And yes, you can tell the difference between the cooler gel-side and the plain side. Looking forward to a cool nights sleep come summer.It is smaller than an average pillow (22 inches long) but I only noticed that as I have in a standard pillow case. Can't comment on cleaning it yet, as I haven't found that necessary. I have to admit, it looks a bit tight in it's removable cover so that might prove a problem - I haven't plucked up the courage to try to remove it yet.But, all in all I can't recommend this pillow highly enough
