Q: How bad is the bluetooth on this? Can it be used at all?

It’s a great Amp. Despite of most reviews that are complaining about its BLE, I gave it a try and very happy with it. I have not experienced any problem or disconnecting issues whatsoever, not a single time. I’m connecting my AppleTV (8-9 feet away), iPhone (walked away ~ 20ft away) iPod (3-4ft away), with no issue, the only disadvantage I can speak of, it doesn’t have remote control (or not included), for switching between input devices or vol you need to access/ reach to the Amp.

Q: I'm considering the a100 to power two in-ceiling elac speakers in my kitchen. would input a dac through rca. will this get the job done?

Yes, I think it should be fine... the Elac model I saw sensitivity was 89 db, so in my opinion, you should be good.
