Cry Baby Tears (Hard Candy), 5 lb bag

If you wanna know sour, get these.
Pardon the potentially poor spelling, my head has puckered down into my body. These are sour. I’m a sour candy aficionado and these are where sour comes to kiss the ring and bend the knee… and cry… baby. Huge bag, will last awhile because you can’t eat them too fast.

Sour candy
Bought this for the little brother, he loves sour candy and this hit the spot for him. Most candy that says it's sour is not sour enough for him.

Great for sour addicts. Not so great for your teeth.
If you're like me and love sour things and think nothing of eating slices of limes or lemons, this is one of the best candies out there to get a sour fix. If you eat just a few it's not so bad, but the more you eat, the more sour they seem. Probably because the enamel is slowly being eroded from your teeth. No, seriously, eat too many of these in one sitting and eating anything hot or cold will be painful for a few days. You'll see the outer layer of skin peel away from the inside of your mouth. I'm sure my dentist would NOT approve. So moderation is key with these! As for distribution of colors, this batch was fairly evenly distributed across the 4 colors. Yellow is lemon, orange is orange, red is cherry (?), and green is watermelon flavored. Maybe there was a little more yellow than the others. I got this 5lb bag from the vendor Grand Lake Country Store. It came in a big ziploc style bag taped over the opening, then packaged in a padded flat rate USPS puff envelope. Looks like most vendors buy the candy in the large 25lb containers and measure them out into smaller ziploc or heat sealed bags for resale. I measured the candy in the clear bag on my digital kitchen scale and it measured 5lb 1oz, so I'm assuming the empty bag and tape weighed an ounce. I ordered on the 13th (Fri) and got it on the 17th (Tues) with the included free shipping.

One good experience one not so good
I want to start by saying these are delicious and a wonderful deal. However, the first bag I ordered was torn open upon arrival which I then had to struggle to get refunded cuz these are not returnable but say on the post they will refund or replace if damaged. Once I finally got in touch with Amazon rep I got a refund and ordered another bag. This bag came in a different color bag but same item. It was not torn and was perfect so all in all I would recommend but if yours happens to come torn get on chat or call to talk to someone otherwise it will not let you do anything about it.

This is a 5lb bag of Cry Baby Tears
This is a 5lb bag of Cry Baby Tears. This is hard candy with a gloss-like coating, and what's unique about this sour candy is that while other sour candy is immediately sour with its coating, Cry Baby Tears sour flavor comes on gradually, around 15-20 seconds in your mouth. The sour flavor is contained within the entirety of the candy except its coat. There aren't that many types of sour candy that I tried that does that, and I think this candy does it amazingly well. One candy piece in your mouth slowly dissolving packs a real nice tart punch. You don't need to more than one candy in your mouth given its flavor is so strong. I was also surprised about its texture while chewing the candy. It crumbles nicely into hard fragments reminding me as a more solid Flinstones Chewable Vitamin. It's also surprising that it does contain some of that Flinstones Vitamin flavor, too. It tastes great! No, this is not as sour as Toxic Wastes or Warheads. but it is a strong tart sour flavor, and the sourness endures much longer than the former candies I mentioned. If you eat enough, this will burn the skin off your tongue. For the money, this is a great deal with how much you get. I recommend!

Crying Baby Tears for Cry Baby Tears
This Candy has changed. 😠it’s softer. It’s not as sour. I have always been a fan of Cry Baby Sour Tears, but this a sad comparison to its former self. What is happening to our favorites????
