Patio Magic! Concentrate: Ideal Patios, Paths And Driveways (Kills Algae And Lichens), 5 Litres

Prior to purchasing this product I was a bit hesitant about the claims made about its performance. However, I was absolutely wrong. It has made a huge difference to my paths which, over time, had become discoloured and scruffy looking. They now look almost new. However don't expect immediate results. Apply the diluted product to the path and work it in with a stiff brush. Then, just leave it to work the magic. It may take several days to produce the results but it's well worth the wait.

Like this . Really easy to use and cleans without damaging the mortar in patios. Gave it 4 stars because it works well on pink and light colours but not great on darker colours/grey. Use it every spring and it makes a real difference .

This product is simple to use and does all it claims to do! HIghly recommend it - I used it on my block driveway (grey) and it removed all algae and left it like new!

I live in a rented terraced house and mismatched slabs patio garden is very much overdue some love. Patio magic has made a world of difference to start my budget makeover 🙈 It only took one bottle for two treatments of the whole garden. I diluted 1ltr to 4ltrs of water in a small pressure sprayer, and it took about half hour for each side of the garden. The slabs have come up so much better (not sure if you’re supposed to use it on fences, but mine need painting so I did). I did the second coat on the worst side this morning so I know that will get even better in a couple days. Definitely great value for money and will be my go to.

I have been using Patio Magic for 3 years now and have been fairly happy with it according to the price I paid which was under ten pounds per 5 litre container as sold here last year. I do not use it with a sprayer but prefer the watering can with a sprinkler attachment method and on that basis providing that you pour your diluted Patio Magic fluid when the weather is dry, it works for a few weeks or maybe a couple of months according to your strength of mixture. I had always previously used a 4:1 dilution ratio, which is quite strong and will kill moss growth. Obviously the stronger your mixture the more containers/litres that you will require. Even with that dilution ratio this product does not offer permanent algae/moss removal and because of that I feel that there is no way that this product is worth today's asking price of just under seventeen pounds being that we required 25 litres each and every year.... noting that the algae will always return on both driveway and patio etc., even on this heavy price. Our alternative, and the algae will still return, is to dilute good quality bleach into our watering can where we have found that it does the same job but a whole lot cheaper. The cost of the bleach, around two pound fifty(ish) for 2 litres. (supermarket price) effectively achieving huge saving with exactly the same result. Again I apply when dry and leave overnight. Pets, or anything/anybody else for that matter, should be discouraged from walking on the wet patio/area during the drying period. As with Patio Magic the bleach thingie is still not a permanent solution but at least affordable. All IMHO of coarse.

Buying the 2.5L concentrate is much more cost-effective than buying ready-to-use versions. It dilutes down to make a huge amount of treatment fluid, which easily covered my entire driveway, rear patio, and garden fencing. It’s incredibly versatile and didn’t damage or discolour my tarmac or wood panels at all. The only major thing to keep in mind is pet safety. The instructions state it is safe for animals once completely dry, but while it's wet, it can be harmful to their paws. I had to keep my dogs inside for a good few hours until the patio completely dried out. It’s a small inconvenience for a brilliant, clean finish, but well worth noting.

It takes time but the results are excellent. After about 3 weeks you will begin to notice the difference then your patio will progressively start to lighten and brighten. I was initially quite sceptical but as the weeks have gone by I become increasingly impressed with the result. I will make this product an annual treatment. The 5 Litre container is good for 2 treatments of about 60 sq m of patio.
