FUTURO Deluxe Thumb Stabilizedr, Large/X-Large

This splint is great. It's great to wear 24/7 and is a great moderate support. I know that there is another one just like it for a few bucks less but it didn't stand up through time as well as this one. The other one is a one size fits all. It's not as supportive and the thumb is a lot shorter and the wrist is also smaller. I do like the lacing on it it feels like it has more support with all the laces instead of just a thick strap. I got the large size so the Ace one is more than likely sized as a small/medium. Now with both thumbs needing support I'm back to purchase again. The ace one is a very good product but I think me needing a large probably helped it wear out faster than this one. I would definitely purchase this one again and am doing that now.

I have tried 3 different thumb braces before this one. I found this to be the best one. It’s soft and comfortable but has great support for the thumb. It frees up the palm and four fingers while giving excellent support for the thumb. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BRACE

Product is well made and helps stabilize my thumb without forcing my other fingers to be cramped. I find the product comfortable. It provides only moderate support so if you are looking for firm support, I would look for another product. Vendor clearly stated support would be moderate so no stars were reduced. I took off 1 star because the shipping took more than 1 week to arrive (I have Prime!) and the box came crushed and damaged. Thankfully this product is soft and flexile so it was ultimately unharmed and did not fall out. I would still recommend this product if you have arthritis or another issue in your thumb. Perhaps buying from another vendor who picks a gentler delivery service might be better.

I purchased this in the size that supposedly would fit me. I was at the top of the scale. HOWEVER, I am a tall person and my hand is long. The brace came and it didn't fit well. It pulled down between the thumb and my hand and was uncomfortable. So that being said, here's the tip: If you are TALL and your hands are long BUT not wide, even though you fall into the small/medium category, purchase the next size up. These are totally adjustable, super comfortable, work to stablize but not imobilize so you can still use your thumb but without injuring it further. I love they a slim and not bulky and super easy to put on. They could use some better instruction. The instruction is on the box but isn't super concise. At first I though I had to work the laces somehow but no, it's just part of the wrap. I'll definately purchase again when this wears out. ALSO ONE MORE THING. Since this is a Prime item, you'd think it was returnable, it IS NOT, due to Covid. So make good measurements when ordering. It is a very good brace!!!

I had no idea what the DeQuervain's was until absolutely needed to know, because it was ruining my ability to function. Suffice it to say that not being able to sleep for days of time and feeling like someone has smashed your wrist/thumb with a sledgehammer is enough to make you take this problem seriously. I bought a wrist brace from the local pharmacy and experience such agony trying to put it on that I immediately knew I had to find something I could 'slip on' and THEN tighten. This device fits the bill exceptionally- it's a perfect 'middle of the road' solution... This device has excellent range of motion yet still provides a significant level of stability. If you are like myself and can't sleep at night due to the agony of accidentally bumping your thumb in the wrong direction -you should get something significantly larger- like a traction device for your wrist, specifically for sleeping. This device is the one you use on your way back to function, and during the day when you MUST use your hand... I bought two so I can wash one and continue to have one to use, I lived in them for about 3 months. Good luck

There are times I don’t want to wear my bigger hand/thumb/wrist brace. Usually because it’s too hot. This brace supports the arthritic joint at the base of my thumb without covering as much of my palm or going as high on the wrist, so it’s not as hot to wear.

It takes a special product to get 5 stars from me. This brace earns it. My wrist and thumb are extremely painful from holding my heavy tablet propped on that area but not in one specific area. I can bend and stretch my wrist and thumb 49 times with no pain but on the 50th time touching my palm causes tears. That can last for an hour or a week. During that time I need support. I have quite a few braces that work but are too bulky and really size specific. Then I found this. It’s as supportive as any of the bulky, more expensive types but is much smaller and sleek. It covers my wrist, thumb, palm and back of my hand perfectly. I’ve slept in it and it’s comfortable the next day. One thing. I removed the metal stays. I hate those things and it works fine. Did mention I can type and slow down at all. Now I have celebrate the inventor of the closure. The brace has a cross over tab with small stretchy bungee cord closure...like the no tie sneakers...with Velcro at the end. LOVE IT!! I’ve only had this a short time and I need another. Not because it doesn’t hold up. It really does. I just want another to rotate and I’ve tossed m old bulky ones.

These are excellent quality and easy to use. No complaints in the design or comfort - they are very comfortable, and thin, and breathable. Easy for all day use. SIZING: Based on my hand circumference being 7.25", I chose L/XL, despite the fact at 5'3", the actual length of my hands and fingers isn't that long. USE: I work in marketing, on a computer all day, five days a week, and was recently diagnosed with mild/moderate osteoarthritis in my thumb joints. EXPERIENCE: I put them on and tried different positions for the velcro and different tightness levels. I wore them for 20 minutes the first day, and tried to gradually work up. The 3rd day, I wore them for an hour, and my thumb joints started aching. I took them off and the pain stopped. WHAT MY RHEUMATOLOGIST SAID: having pain from a split confused me. My doctor examined them and asked me if I could move my thumb with them on. I said yes - that's the point, I wanted something I could type with them on. He said (at least in my case) I should NOT wear a brace while typing/on the computer. That was a surprise. He said what's better is to get braces that totally immobilize the thumb joint and thumb, and wear them while I'm going about the rest of my day or evening, not on the computer. He also said that it appeared too big - despite the fact I could pull the velcro so it felt secure, the sizing was off. He said he'd suggest to size down. I suspected that was also an issue, because only half the pad of my thumb poked out above the splint, so even though the circumference of the hand said go L/XL, I should've gone with my gut and ordered S/M to fit the scale of my hand. So, back they go and the search continues. I am glad they help most people who order them, and they are a quality item - they simply aren't going to work for my specific osteoarthritis situation.

This thumb support is comfortable and neat, it’s medium support so allows some movement to perform less stressful tasks, whilst couching the thumb and wrapping around the wrist to hold it all in place. May seem expensive, but I think it’s worth it.

A comfortable easy to wear splint.

Futuro is a great brand and I love this wrist guard/thumb stabiliser/wrist brace. This fit beautifully and gives me the freedom to type but keeps my thumb in the right position due to minor carpal tunnel and/or ganglion cyst. Highly recommend, am ordering one for my other hand (one design fits both). Superb way to adjust it, very clever design to adjust wrist and stays put. Love it.
