Does exactly what was required
I was able to programme this myself in about 30 secs and it works fine. Note though that I already had a working key with transponder chip, so I only needed to swap the remote push button part of the fob on my existing keys. Other reviewers have commented on issues with getting the key cut but i didn't need to do that so I can't comment.

Not to shabby for a tenner
I bought this a couple of days ago and came packaged nicely. I bought this as my original key was so wobbly it was on the verge of breaking so all i did was swap the metal key part so i didn't have to get one cut and transponder unit and stuck in a new battery. Programmed so i could unlock the doors and no need to clone the transponder unit as i used my original one.

Blade too thick and needs professional programming.
The key (for a Ford Focus '08) arrived promptly. I took it to a locksmith to have the blade cut with the intention of then programming it according to the instructions on the Amazon web site. This cost £15.00. The blade however was too thick and despite being re-cut 5 times it still did not fit the ignition of the car so a new (Ford) blade was cut and fitted. This cost an extra £12.50. Then I found that the programming instructions only code the key to open/close the doors, they do not program the transponder within the key to allow the engine to start. Thus the key transponder had to be programmed. This cost £35.00. So, with the initial cost of the key at £13.69, the total cost to have a fully functional key was £76.19. Cheaper than the Ford key but not exactly a hassle free experience.
