Mayday Parade

I love this album, an improvement from their Kids In Love album I'd say they are back to their lyrical and instrumental best. You will not find a bad song on this album.

This album is awesome... just like the other Mayday Parade albums. Good lyrics are what I really listen for and I must say they are outstanding! I give this album 5 out of 5! :)

Being a fan of Emo style lyrics with thought and depth, this album is up there with the best. The melodic guitars tie in well with the emotion of the lyrics. Example "Oh Well Oh Well" with lyrics such as "So ill just smile, and make believe, I don't feel, That doesn't work for me". A truly top album and well worth a buy. A must for everyones music collection.

All ok

I'm a huge fan of this band, so I caved in to buying this album as soon as I could spare some money.. I've had a few listens to it, but to be completely honest, as of yet, there are very few stand-out tracks, nothing seems to be sticking in my head and it all sounds the same so far. I highly dislike the 'trend' artists go through of releasing a video of the 'best song off the album' to promote it and so I didn't intend on giving that particular song ('Oh Well, Oh Well') a 'huge listen', but even so, that's the only one that seems to be any good so far. I don't know, maybe I just haven't listened to it enough? But up until now, 'A Lesson In Romantics' is still their best album. If you happen to be reading this and can't decide between this album and ALIR, then go for the latter.

I was a Mayday Parade fan since their first LP "A Lesson in Romantics" and bought their 2nd studio album without hesitation. Obviously when Jason left there was something missing, but the 2nd album was just flat-out bad in my opinion. I did not like the lyrics to any of the songs and found it tough to listen through the whole album. In fact, after about five listens I gave up. When this self titled album was released I approached it with much more caution because of "Anywhere but Here" being a let down... after previewing it several times I decided to give it a chance. I was greatly rewarded, this album is put together MUCH better than their previous one and I even liked it more than the first one. It still does not have many of the qualities of "A Lesson in Romantics" but Derek and the rest of the band did a much better job with both lyrics and the music on this one. I recommend you preview some of the songs on youtube or somewhere else since it is very different than the first two albums but I absolutely give it five stars.

Wie kann man schon ein Album besser machen als Anywhere but here?! Es geht nicht. Das aktuelle Album von MP ist insgesamt eher ruhiger geraten, wobei die Melodie in den Songs unverwechselbar gut ist. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung kann ich aussprechen, obwohl ich mir für das nächste Album wieder mehr Power wünschen würde. (Aber Musik ist ja sowieso immer Geschmackssache.)

Mayday Parade is an Excellent Rock Pop Album one of several that this British Group has put out. It's very entertaining and mostly upbeat with songs you enjoy anywhere and any time. This is a very lively album and Mayday Parade is one of the best British Rock Bands out there well worth the money to purchase it.
