It does exactly what is supposed to ! Make sure you're connected to 2.4Ghz wi-fi before setting up the gateway.Slight issue - the temperature shows upside down when fitted for a standard UK radiator. But with the app on the phone you wouldn't need to check the radiator valve anyway.

The product seems to work fine, once set up. But the instructions miss key points so it can be very confusing, take a long time, or end up with you giving up and throwing it away or returning it. Here are the key points missed:1) Linking the Zigbee gateway to wifi can be tricky, because it uses an old wifi protocol. With my BT router/wifi, I had to turn off 5 GHz wifi and switch it to mode 3 (the slowest, dumbest mode) before I could get the gateway to register with Smartlife. It's OK to revert your router to normal (faster) settings after registration2) Stupidest thing: I couldn't find how to open the battery cover on the TRV to put batteries in! Two of us had a go for 10 mins, and couldn't work it out. No picture or part label in the instructions to help. DON'T lever off the end cap (which seems most obvious), or you'll break the control switch. In the end, I accidentally found that the battery cover is half of the main shell, and you slide it up towards the end cap.3) You can't get the TRV to go into pairing mode if it is off the radiator, no matter how much you try. It has to be screwed onto the radiator before it will let you do that. You can then do it with a long press of the end cap.4) Yes, the numbers are upside-down on most UK radiators. And although the manual implies you can invert them, I can't get it to work.5) Finally, the daily temperature setting is not hourly but cut into 5 (you can add more) blocks of time. (e.g, midnight to 6 am) You can change the block timing if you click on them

This product is really good for the price point.I definitely recommend it.Does everything it says and I'm glad I bought it.Hoping it lasts.

Does everything it says and very easily to install

Well it was a nice idea to be able to control one radiator independently but it was very complicated and difficult to set up. Many of the help links in the app were written in Chinese. Alexa doesn’t work in English. The writing and numbers on the rad valve itself were upside down. When I got a new router everyth8ng had to be reset which took over an hour.It does actually work but the instructions are not good……..something simpler to use would be good. Oh yes, only when I got it did I realise 2 x AA batteries needed. If you had a lot of these, that would get costly. When a battery ran it, radiator stayed on constantly, and keeps reading new batteries as almost dead.
