I bought this to charge my iPhone and iPad on 3-4 day camping trips. I charged it to 100% using AC before the first trip. I plugged in my phone and iPad the first night (both were about 40%). In the morning, both were charged, but the Phoenix 500 only had 30% charge remaining. This is basically worthless. I get the same charging ability from my Dewalt USB attachment and a 5 amp 20V battery. That’s a much smaller and less expensive package.I tried to return the Renogy but could get no help from either Amazon or Renogy.

bought directly from Rengy last march 2023 used through winter during power outages to charge cell phones and other things .went check it out before camping season will not stay on but few seconds says 80% turns off about the time you read it .contacted renogy nothing but problems .I had bought it as a bundle with solar panels .the panels never came .took months but did get refund for panels also got the extended warranty .the station said had part refund 400 out of 800 from before so they would not help any . will never buy the products again

The big ones do absolutely wonderful powering larger items but they have to think to run, so you are better off pulling more power from them rather than just charging a phone. If you are looking for one to charge smaller items get the Phoenix 200. I have 2 of those and I also have a Phoenix 1000.One of my smaller ones fell off my kayak on a camping trip and it was submerged for over a a half hour before I noticed. I dried it out in the sun for 3 days when I got back, and it runs absolutely great, like it never drowned at all.

Same issues as others. Renogy offers the shortest warranty in the product category. Junk after 1 year with very little usage.
