Very useful kitchen tool!
These don't last forever (they need to be replaced after maybe... 6 months?) but, for me, they are a very useful tool! I use them for oiling muffin tins, omelet pans, everything! Also good if you don't want to use too much oil. You can wash them one or two times and air-dry. But when bits of string start to come off, it's time to go.

Items received on time in new, high quality condition. I use these different colored Brushes in my 2 red oil containers, One for Olive Oil, the other for Avocado Oil to know which one is which, Works Beautiful for brushing on pans for cooking, also in my cast iron pans. saves on using to much oil, Avocado Oil is expensive.

THIS REVIEW IS ONLY ABOUT THE BRUSHES
These brushes are very handy when I wish to give something a very, very light coating of oil. I usually use them several times between washing them - I just retract the "bristles (soft cotton fibers) as far as possible and keep one brush per zipper snack sized bag in the door of my refrigerator. I use one for vegetable oil and one for EV pure olive oil.

Good for takoyaki
I decided to make takoyaki (octopus balls) and bought a special pan, but it needs to be well greased or you will end up with a complete mess, so I use this brushes to oil my hot pan. They are made of cheap plastic but it is a good gadget, the problem is washing all the oil out, but anyway I threw them away after a couple of uses and now I use a paper napkin and two chop sticks to grease my pan.

What a Waste
You're better off using Bounty-grade paper towels for the same results. The rope-like fabric is hard to clean and dry. The oil absorbs into the tube, making the handle too greasy - even after cleaning. And once I applied force to get into the tube further, the staple that holds the fabric into the plastic tube broke, rendering the item no longer useable. It went straight into the bin. Perhaps that is why ot comes in 2-packs. But the other half, I don't plan on ever using.

handy for oiling kitchen knives
the brush sits in a bit of camellia oil in a ceramic toothpick holder next to my knife block. carbon steel knives get a swipe of oil on the blade after every washing to prevent rust. sometimes i brush the wood handles, too. the camellia oil is pure, and the container is small, so the oil doesn't get rancid and stays debris free. a small purpose, but perfect for what it is.

Use these along with Cooking BBQ Grill Oil Brush w/ Container Red #9461 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042ITGTW/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_7) to oil my cast iron and Carbon steel pans after washing and what ever else needs a quick oil before coking instead of a cooking spray. They can with stand some heat as well. I bought these as spares for when the one that came with the container needs to be eventually replaced.
