Revolting Rhymes [DVD]

I bought this along with the book and have enjoyed them both.

I LOVE Roald Dahl and Revolting Rhymes is a particular favourite, despite me being in my forties now.This animated version has been superbly executed and I believe any child would be overjoyed to receive it.

This is a fantastic watch for adults and children of almost any age as it works on so many level at once. It takes the simple and familiar stories and gives them a twisted twist!

Dahl at his best, with just the right amount of morality, humour, and a touch of dread.

Entertaining for grandchildren aged 6 and 9years

Love these short films my son watched them on tv and so we bought the dvd so he could watch when he wanted.

Granted for small children this will be gruesome - but then again so is Roald Dahls books.Was awesome with modern twist on classic grimm stories.Film is split in two episodes which are independent but tied together with the "framestory" around them.

Esta peli es exquisita. Es una maravilla. En serio. Son sólo 55 minutos escasos, divididos en 2 episodios, pero que están conectados, es decir, que lo mejor es ponerla desde el minuto 1 y verla del tirón... En ella se mezclarán las "fairty tales" de los tres cerditos, Cenicienta, Caperucita roja, Jack and the beanstalk y alguna más... todas ellas en verso y con un humor a veces muy inglés... Ni que decir tiene que está en inglés, bien en 5.1 surround o 2.0 y los subtítulos sólo en inglés. Pero mejor así, porque las rimas son una maravilla. Es una lástima que esta peli no sea más conocida (igual no es ni conocida su versión original en libro de Dahl "Cuentos en verso para niños perversos" ) y que no haya una edición en español.. Pero da igual. Así aprendemos inglés. A mí me encanta. A mis niños les encanta. Imágenes en stop motion muy bonitas y coloreadas. Sin extras. Ni falta que hace...Si a uno le encanta el cine animado, las maravillas de Disney/Pixar o Ghibli y quiere ver otro tipo de cine animado... recomiendo este DVD fervientemente.. Otros títulos muy interesantes serían los de Laika Studios como "Kubo" o "Coraline", Los de Sylvain Chomet como "Les triplettes de Belleville" o "El ilusionista" o los de Tomm Moore como "La canción del mar"... Película de animación para el disfrute de toda la familia.. Adjunto fotos con películas muy buenas para toda la familia más allá de Disney/Ghibli..Espero que haya sido útil mi valoración

Visto ieri con un'amica,l'abbiamo adorato totalmente.Non solo la grafica ma anche i contenuti proposti sono davvero carini ed intriganti.Consigliato anche per chi non mastica l'inglese al 100%,le storie sono molto intuitive.Si discostano leggermente dalle fiabe per toni leggermente dark ma fusi benissimo con dolcezza ed umorismo.

Ich kann die DVD nur waermstens empfehlen. Die Geschichte an sich sowie die Rahmenhandlung sind super (noch viel besser als die Einzelepisoden im Buch) und die technische Umsetzung ist einfach genial und super-liebevoll gemacht. Kann mal etliche Male ohne Ermuedung ansehen.

I love Roald Dahl's reworking of classic FairyTales.This movie interpretation that strings them all together in one cohesive narrative is brilliant.The quality of the animation is excellent and the selection of voice actors is perfect. The story is not only well written it is also acted with nuanced performance throughout.I bought it for my Granddaughter's birthday and she loves it. I gave her the original book of poems the movie is based on as well.Highly Recommended.

Zwei (oder eigentlich mehrere) Märchen wunderbar eigenwillig umgesetzt. Sehr eingängige Reime, und immer wieder erheiternd!
