Very pleased I made my choice! Perfection!
I purchased this along with the Prym roll...something I have been debating for a long time until I finally took the plunge and bought them. I looked at all the tailors hams not only on Amazon but also researched elsewhere and as I have had Prym brand for other items previously and not always happy with them, I was a little unsure what to do. I can honestly say that I am so glad I made the decision to go for these! The ham and the roll and both very firm and robust and great to use...I didn't think I would use them much but having used them just once so far, I will certainly be using them regularly. See my review for the roll and I would suggest buying both! I used the roll for a seam area on a small bag but they will also be great for normal ironing certain areas of clothing...far better than a ironing sleeve board...so much better. The quality of these are great...firm, robust and solid...perfect!

Excellent Ham
This is an excellent tailor's ham, and makes ironing curved seams a lot easier. The stuffing is very firm, with very little give, and provides a solid surface for ironing on. I make a lot of shirts. This ham makes ironing seams around the arms and collar during the sewing process much easier than using a flat board.

Quality in line with price. Some problems, but I'd still recommend to newbies
This is a reasonable tailors ham. It is well packed, sturdy and smooth across the top and bottom. However, there is significant puckering of the material at the front curve, which of course may be a problem when trying to press a seam on a narrower or steeper curve. I'm a newbie and just starting with darts etc, hence buying a cheaper tool to begin with. It's perfectly fine for my purposes at the moment, and would recommend to fellow newbies due to low cost and other positive points. However, if you are a more experienced dressmaker or tailer, I'd recommend against it - the flaws in the construction will likely cause you problems in your craft

Wonderful piece of dressmaking kit
I had heard about 'Hams' in the past, I was reminded about them when I saw them on Great British Sewing Bee. Why oh why had I not got one before, best piece of kit when dressmaking for pressing awkward curves and achieving the best result you can, I am trying more complex garments and it is a real asset. It will be great when getting the best finish when ironing in general ( I am a bit OCD about my ironing).

This is an excellent accessory and one that, once used, becomes more of a necessity. Very highly recommended.
This is a very robust piece of equipment and very well filled and machined to give a very firm foundation for steam-ironing. It was bought specifically for steam-ironing out curved seams as advertised and, quite simply, it does that job to perfection. It was bought as one of a pair of Taylor's Hams with the other one being designed in a more rectangular shape for ironing out straight seams and sleeves. That has also been a great success and purchasing the pair would seem to be well worth while considering, bearing in mind their shared usefulness. This is an excellent accessory and one that, once used, becomes more of a necessity. Very highly recommended.

A dressmaker must have
I don't know why I didn't buy a ham sooner, it's such an excellent ironing tool for shoulders, sleeves and weird shaped projects! This one worked great with the dress I was making and needed it for some puff sleeves and bust darts. It helped making the seams sit way better than if I had used the ironing board.

Très pratique
Très bonne qualité, comme tous les produits Prym. Beaucoup plus lourd que je pensais avant de l’acheter, mais fonctionne très bien pour repasser les manches et les arrondis !
