Five Star
I go this for my 2006 Fiat Grande Punto, and this required an additional fitting kit to work. It sits well and looks nice , the red lighting is not garish, the LCD display clear and the text and controls usable and well laid out. The steering wheel remotes work and the fitting and setup was easy (about 20mins total). I connected a 32gb microUSB in the front and now have much of my music available for when I'm travelling. This is a great bonus.Sound quality is superb. Car sound isn't a high priority for me, but overall audio is (I own expensive headphones and a £700+ hifi setup) and can say this is impressive given the price. I normally avoid post processing too, but the in-built sound enhancement for mp3 really pulls up the detail on songs run off USB, even when originally ripped at 128kbps. Radio quality is perfect, CD too.Overall, given the low price, this Pioneer is perfect for someone looking for a cheap but decent car radio/CD/media player.

Great head unit for the price
All in all, this head unit is excellent value for money. There are some drawbacks as you would expect from a cheaper unit but I have been fairly impressed by the quality of the audio, far better then my previous Kenwood unit that was about 3 times the price. The only real problem is that it will not play .aac or .m4a files. If you do get it and find some tracks don't play, you can convert them to MP3 in iTunes pretty easily. (there are loads of youtube videos on it if you have problems)One annoying thing.. If you do buy it then just remember in the initial set-up menu to adjust the rear speaker outputs as the default setting is to go to a Subwoofer and therefore you will only get bass out of the rear speakers. (if you do have this problem, turn it off, hold down the SRC button for a few seconds, go into 'menu', go into 'SP P/O' and turn the dial to 'REAR/REAR')Pros:USB connectivity & 3.5mm jack audio inEasy navigation through folders on USBGood Audio QualityAn EQ button on the front, with two custom equalizer settingsGood PriceCons:Will not play .aac or .m4a filesOnly one RCA out on the backUSB slot is on the front so you need to buy a little USB stick or you will keep knocking it out.

Has everything you could want from a car stereo, we don't use the USB port for anything other than a USB stick with music on, it is a bit of an annoyance to have to go into the properties of every song and change the details but I think the way it uses them is fantastic.

Room for improvement
The Good:Sound quality is fine from what I can tell. The speakers in my car are probably not good. However, for driving, I am satisfied with the quality. The price is very reasonable for the amount of functionality on offer. It supports the usual things you'd expect from a car stereo. The display is not distracting and can be dimmed if find it too dark at night. The Bad:All the music on my phone is stored as flac and I was hoping to be able to stream this via MTP using the USB cable. The stereo will only stream MP3 from your phone. This was the first disappointment. I ended up buying a small USB stick and converted my music to MP3 so I could listen to them in my car.The second issue I had is that songs do not play in the correct order. The directory structure appears to be generated from the ID3 information, so you'd expect the tracks in an album's directory to be sorted by stored track ID. I immediately thought that the songs must be ordered by their file name. I wrote a short script to prefix the filenames with their track ID. Still, the same problem occurs. It appears that the CD player sorts the songs of an album by the title value stored in the ID3. This is dumb and makes no sense.

Doesn't support iPhone 6!
I bought this through a recommendation from someone but when I took it to halfords for them to fit it, they told my it wouldn't work as I have an iPhone 6 and it doesn't support this phone. But I didn't see this when I bought it which was annoying as I now have to send it back and buy a new one. So make sure when you buy one it actually supports the phone that you have if you purely want it for iPod/phone connection like I did. But I have heard its a very good stereo, although I never go to hear it myself.
