A solid heavy duty rod. Surprised it was heavier than I expected. Having rocky underground, it took a pounding to get a good portion underground. The end showed little evidence of being pounded. Had to cut a part of it off to have 4" exposed above ground. This still works fine being used with my portable generator.

I was impressed with the design. I was able to drive one 4 foot section and attach the other section using the connector provided. I was concerned that the copper would mushroom and make the tight connection impossible but the rods are topped with a small steel cap that withstood some very hard pounding using a large rock hammer rotary drill. But for that very large drill I never would have gotten these rods installed. The pointed rod ends did their job.

HAVEN'T USED IT YEST. BUT I DID HAVE A LICENCED ELECTRICIAN TELL ME THAT IT SHOULD BE 8 FEET LONG.
