Perfect - does what it says on the box.
This converter saved me a heap of money. Someone gave me an old, fairly unused Dell 3400mp Projector. It was a decent projector for its time (and nearly £1000), so I didn't want to miss the opportunity to have a good, working projector for my living room. The problem is, it only had S-Video, Composite video and and old M1 (DVI's grandfather) connection, which was my first choice to connect. After plenty of testing, I figured the M1 connection on the projector must be broken, and I didn't think that I'd find a good HDMI-Composite converter. Not only that, but I also only have Mac products (MacBook Pro and Apple TV) to play from, which of course comes with the lame HDCP that doesn't connect to old projectors and monitors. So I'm happy to say this converter not only converted the HDMI to a good, working composite signal, but it also strips out/bypasses the HDCP, which means I can play any of my movies from my computer onto the old projector. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the 'sharpening' you can see in the picture - but I suspect it's just natural byproduct of the down-conversion, and they probably just bin a ton of pixels to get the resolution down, like video on old DSLRs. Not sure if this is on the converter or the projector's side, but honestly is only an issue when I look at my computer desktop via the projector. Once a movie is playing, it doesn't even cross your mind.

Well what a waste of time purchasing this was
I purchased this as I have recently have a virgin v6 box installed. Unfortunately it only has a hdmi connection on the back (no scratches anymore) and I needed to connect this to my digisender box which transmits the signal wirelessly to an upstairs bedroom. Unfortunately the sender only has 3 phono rca connectors (yellow, red and white). I purchased this to convert the hdmi output so I could connect to the sender. Well what a waste of time purchasing this was. It does not convert hdmi to rca as advertised. I couldn't get it to do anything. I tried connecting to various USB connection incase it was a power issur and this box did nothing. All I got was a black screen with no signal. This item clearly doesn't work as advertised. Also if people do decide to be crazy enough to purchase this item then be aware that the USB power lead is about 12 inches long. It is tiny and pretty useless for anything that doesn't involve the USB power supply being right on top of the converter. Would give it less stars if possible. I don't understand how anyone could says this worked. I am not an electrical engineer but I like to think I'm no novice when it comes to hooking up multimedia devices.

Used successfully for car rear entertainment system
I purchased this product to attach Apple iPads, iPods and iPhones to my car's built-in rear entertainment AUX input. I want the flexibility to play downloaded iTunes movies, BBC iPlayer TV shows, Netflix and of course Amazon Instant Video easily in the car rather than just rely solely on using the in-car DVD player as the media source.By connecting Apple's iPhone to HDMI adaptor which then connects to an HDMI lead to the ESYNiC it seems work well streamed into the car's entertainment system with excellent sound and good picture quality.FYI: I plug the USB power cord for the ESYNiC into the car's power source through a regular power cigarette adaptor used for mobile phone charging (the highest power rating though - low power won't work properly).I realise this application is a bit niche but hopefully it helps someone!

A Ronseal product
No it is not a waterproof varnish for fences but it does what it says on the tin.I bought this as I wanted to watch streamed tv/films on my old telly. This does it very well. Many of us may own a laptop with HDMI output, but may own a TV like mine that does not have an HDMI input. My TV is 15 years old, and is a CRT relic. However it does have SCART input ports and also RCA input ports. RCA are the red white and yellow ports which take left channel sound, right channel sound and yellow is for the digital input. This item will convert your HDMI output into something your 1990s TV can play as it downscales the HD output. The best SCART converter is nearly fifty quid so this is a real bargain.I had this up and running in 5 minutes - no effort required. I am glad I didn't go for the SCART version - I would not have got anything that I didn't get from this. This item is genuine plug and play.Anything else? Just be prepared for a little bit of a shock because if you're now used to HD on your laptop or TV, the out put on your older non HD TV may look very blocky at first. This seems to be because my old TV is actually very low res, so things like a normal Windows desktop with icons, or interface text look blurred. Look a some of your holiday photos and you see the same thing. This is not the converter's fault - it is your low res TV showing its age.As soon as you move to video you will forget. Most video is actually quite low res compared to stills etc. I watched two episodes of the BBC's Frozen Planet via Netflix, and the display was perfect. It was as good as a DVD replay, and also miles better than any terrestrial channel. So in summary - if you want to watch streamed video via an older TV this is the thing to buy.

Buen producto y buen servicio.

Convertitore HDMI a VGA
