Good stuff for Chessex Battlematt's
I used this ink to fill an empty alcohol based marker. That worked well. I had to use a small funnel to pour the ink in. I have one from a steam-engine model. The ink can be poured out of the insert tube.In my case the empty marker was a STYLEFILE, but I guess that any empty alcohol marker will do.I also tried an empty paint marker, but that wrote a bit too wet in my opinion.I'm using the marker for drawing maps on Chessex Battlemats. The Steadler non-permanent markers are the recommended tools, but there quite small. I wanted to have a marker with bigger nibs and I'm quite pleased with the result. As an alternative Crayolas Ultra-Clean Washable markers are quite cheap, have nice big tips and in my opinion actually works better for the Battlemats than the Steadler ones. They are easier to wash off although some of the lighter colors don't show very well on the matts. They only come in sets and I tend to use the black one a lot. This is why I came up with idea to use this re-fill ink to create my own black marker. I'm pleased with the result.

Found a wonderful pen that was perfect but when it began to ...
I have a visual impairment which means I can only write with black felt tips as I'm unable to read anything written in biro or pencil. Found a wonderful pen that was perfect but when it began to dry up, I found the cost to replace it was exhorbitant. This is brilliant as it allows me to re ink my pen rather than having to source another and paying through the nose for it.
