average sound quality, but it's exceptionally cheap
This was bought just to give some basic sound to a thin client that didn't have a beeper in it so I just wanted the cheapest and smallest device. I wasn't too worried about sound quality. Tested it on Windows and it worked out of the box without drivers and the sound quality wasn't actually that bad. It's not hi-fi, but it's acceptable enough for background music etc. Moved it onto the machine it was destined for and it was working in a few minutes under Ubuntu Server 20.04 with a standard ALSA install, again, no drivers needed. Happy with my purchase and would recommend this if you need a simple and cheap sound device.

Does what it says.
Perfect solution. Inexpensive, quite well made and very small. Plug and play straight to my Mac and audacity to digitize a few analogue recordings. Worked precisely as described.

Compact and easy to use
I had a used for this that it wasn't intended for and boy it took some time to figure out how to get into it. (Don't worry folks I didn't send it back) Fairly standard stuff really, almost certainly based on a CMI chip which is commonplace and functions well. I tested it with a typical condenser mic and it performed ... as expected. I didn't check the line input as both go into the same ADC. Output is quite acceptable, there's a little bit of noise (hiss) if you listen really hard or push the volume levels but again, nothing the average user would ever hear. It's not for audiophiles - but it does what it says "on the tin" and that's all we can ask.

Great little oice if equipment.
What I liked about these USB soundcards is that they are literally "Plug & Play" No problem, no complicated setting to work out. Plug it in and it plays. Inobtrusive, doesn't stand out, just sits there and does exactly what it should. Great little piece of equipment. Defo gets 5 stars from me.

Works with Android Too!
Although ony listed as being compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux, the Hypercube works on my YogaTab 13 too. I'm running Android 12 on the YogaTab and use a UGreen 9-in1 multfunctional adaptor to expand the limited single USB-C port. The hypercube provided audio to headphones when plugged into the UGreen on the first try. There are no drivers to load or anything to tweak in Android, you plug it in, and it works! Total Magic!

A cheap little device that solves most problems with laptops.
I've noticed several reviewers of different products miss the fact that for some mike and a lot of headsets you need a two input device. However, most modern laptops only have one socket for a mike or headphone. If your recording device requires two inputs then you need this device as it combines two into one normal sized USB socket. First time i plugged it in it worked and has done ever since. An essential piece of gear.
