£500 for a bag?!! SERIOUSLY?
I’ve used this bag on a few occasions and in my opinion is no different in quality to a £50 rucksack. The fact they are charging over £500 for (which I at the moment is £200 over the list price on unistellas website) is criminal! There are far, far cheaper ways to protect your scope - DO NOT BUY!

Expensive But Very Effective
After initial problems connecting and getting to know how to use the iPhone app, this telescope became very easy to use, and I was able to take pretty good images of deep space objects with it (see attached image of the M81 Bode's Galaxy collected through hazy cloud over 10minutes - the Unistellar tracks and processes the data automatically while I went and brewed up a cup of tea!). Compare this to the trials and tribulation (and disappointments) of astrophotography with a battery of cheaper (and not so cheap) telescopes, motorised mounts, DSLRs, eyepiece cameras etc, and hours of messing with computer stacking programs - this is indeed a short cut to enjoying the night sky for people who want to 'do' astronomy rather than mess with equipment! The reasons for awarding it 4 rather than 5 starts is: firstly, the high cost; and secondly, the fact that the instructions could be clearer and more comprehensive. For example: advice on possible problems connecting to your smartphone; and how to focus and collimate the telescope (the latter both turn out to be a lot easier than conventional telescopes - but only after finding and understanding the correct section in the online help).I would point out that there will a limit to the quality of the images attainable with the Unistellar Equinox 2 compared to more expensive and/or complex astrophotography set-up, but its results are much more surely and easily attained. In my opinion, this telescope could be ideal for schools or other youth organisations wishing to cultivate interest in the Cosmos. Its is a pity that it could not be pitched at a lower price level - it would wipe the floor with conventional astronomical telescope designs.
