Perfect
I’d never heard of this company or skin barrier treatments. I was gifted a sample in my Christmas stocking and was extremely impressed by the softness of my skin. I have decided that I don’t want to be without it and am thinking of adding the moisturizer too. Try it!! You won’t regret it. My skin has never felt so baby soft and smooth

The skin barrier is actual science though...| The Nue Co. - BARRIER CULTURE CLEANSER
This is a really wonderful cleanser that is both gentle and soothing to tired skin. I'm a big fan of balanced biome skincare for a lot of clients, and it's unfortunate that there is a really grumpy review accusing the brand of making "claims" that are "wild" and "just not how the skin works, just ask any dermatologist."Okay well I'm not a dermatologist but I am a cosmetologist and esthetician, and the importance of maintaining the skin's barrier immune system as your first source of protection against things like UV rays is, pretty much, an undisputed scientific statement. Your outermost layer of skin is considered a vital and necessary defense mechanism coating your entire interior. It does in fact act as your body's first available natural barrier against harsh environmental conditions, one of those being UV rays. And part of its life system is the bacterial activity that goes on atop and within it at all times.Because of this, an impaired skin barrier is a major component of nearly all skin conditions whether temporary or chronic, and whether a symptom or a cause. Rosacea, psoriasis, scabies, ringworm, dandruff, hives, even acne and sunburn - at this moment I cannot even think of a single skin condition where the barrier would not be damaged, irritated, inflamed, or affected in some way. Again this isn't really a wild claim as much as it is, well, how the skin works.Skincare lines that aim to rebalance skin biome imbalances have existed for a long time and aren't actually new, but the concept is relatively novel in the mainstream marketplace. This is really because for years, these were considered more of a medical skincare product than a luxury one. Patients who underwent severe radiation or chemotherapy, or those with chronic autoimmune conditions, found themselves needing to use protective probiotic products to help their skin continue to function, perform normally, and maintain its health. Often these products were triple-figure priced and available only through dermatologists. In more recent years, similar over the counter products like this cleanser have been developed for a more affordable price point, so the science of a balanced skin biome is more within reach to an average consumer. Not everyone needs this type of skincare, but there's no denying that bodies benefit from beneficial bacteria, so there's certainly no harm in using it if it's something you think might help in reaching your skin care goals. This particular cleanser is gentle, provides a good cleanse and leaves skin feeling refreshed and soft, not tight or dry. I love that biome-balanced skincare is almost universally sensitive skin-safe, and it is generally the preferred range of products when working on any skincare client with cancer, chronic illness, or an immune deficiency of any kind. This is because in addition to having a lack of ability to maintain their own bacterial balance, clients living with these circumstances generally also take medication(s) that can affect their own internal bacterial balance, such as antibiotics. This is when probiotic skincare is truly a star and able to keep a client's skin from becoming dry, flaky, cracked, inflamed, even cracked, broken open, or painfully sensitive. In conclusion, products designed to promote a balanced bacterial activity level isn't imaginative pseudoscience, it's in fact a very important genre of skincare that is an absolute must for lots of immuno-compromised individuals. Can I say for sure that this one does any sort of bacterial magic on the skin? Well, no - I didn't take any slide samples or break out a microscope for all that. What I CAN say is that, even on my most sensitive clients and those who are undergoing medical treatments for various ailments, I feel safe using this cleanser as it has not aggravated anyone's skin at all. It is a very effective and lightweight cleanser that has an airy, simple scent, a fairly clean ingredient list, and is gentle to all. Recommended highly especially to those with delicate skin!

Gentle and effective but expensive
BARRIER CULTURE CLEANSER from The Nue Co does a good job of gently removing makeup and leaves my sensitive, rosacea prone skin soft, moisturized and well cleansed. It is easy to use and the fragrance is subtle and pleasant. I am enjoying it but due to the premium price I likely won't be able to repurchase so I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
