Buy one before they have all gone
First my ukelele credentials....I'm a pro guitarist , who has dabbled with the little 4 stringers in the past, and over the years I've acquired and sold on a few 1930's ukes , Inc a nice Keech banjolele.I've had in mind a little joke project to include a bit of uke, via PA system , so was looking for an "electric" probably a Fender Tele type, as it appealed visually...after playing a few ukes out of curiousity in the £150 - £200 range , I had sort of dumped the idea...as an expensive joke...until I saw this little baby and read the reviews....figuring if it was rubbish I could always play table tennis with it, as another "joke".My last electric acoustic purchase was a Custom Shop Gibson J45 with K & K pickup,.... now I'm not going to pretend that the craftsmanship of the ammoon is anything like the J45 but 3 things about the amoon1) It sounds ok acoustically and electrically2) it looks great ...3) it plays in tune...For those three reasons beginers or pro's in need of an electric uke could buy and be very happy....So about the wood...yes its laminate - the top is about 2mm thick and I'm pretty sure the face is koaThe conch inlay around the body and soundhole is very goodThe electrics work well, and the tuner is accurateThe rosewood board is a bit streaky , but is a good 4mm thick , the nut and saddle are indeed bone. The headstock tilt has been created using a very clever scarf jointThis is not a toy....for £ 37 you will have hours of funUpdate - Some of the other reviews have mentioned sharp fret ends.....Maybe the manufacturers have read these, as mine arrived having definitely had the fret ends filed smooth...note to beginners ...it will take a couple of days until it holds tuning within a couple of cents

Bad electrics
Loved the uke until I bought an amp last week to play it through, the pick up distorts at any level no matter what I set on eq and it also randomly cuts out completely after surging in volume, nothing else I have does this through the amp so I have ruled that out, if I unplug the jack plug and plug it back in the sound returns, would have been a 4 or 5 but product page is telling me I can't return the item so its a 1, great little uke but the electrics are terrible.

Excellent. Nice sound
Excellent. Nice sound. Stays in tune even on day 1. We bought a Fender Ukulele at the same time and this was far, far superior. Excellent quality and the built in tuner makes life easy

I am very happy to receive such a lovely Uke at an unbelievable low price. It has a full loud yet warm bright sound and looks a beaut with all the different woods. Unplugged and plugged in it has some guts in volume .It arrived without any damage,..the only thing I had to do was file edge of frets a little as they felt a bit sharp but not a big problem. The strings are Aquila nylgut, which are some of the best strings you can buy. Thanks Alan P

MEGA!
There are no instructions but amazing quality for the money. Remarkable finish and fully functional tuner (takes 2 batteries ok?) I thoroughly recommend!Andy Ball
