So delicious but expensive for just a few

You get an assortment of 9 different flavours in the box. They are nicely presented although the box is smaller than expected. I haven't tried tham all yet but some are absolutely delicious with unique combinations of flavour. The downside is you only get a couple of bites out of each nougat square. The box and contents has a hint of luxury about it so would make a nice gift for someone who enjoys something different. A bit pricey to buy on a regular basis though.

I really wanted to love this, we adore Monty BoJangles chocolates.For 9 bits of nougat it is on the expensive side, but thought, well we love the chocolates, this nougat must be a similar luxury experience, so treated myself and the hubs to a box to share.Well, it was a flop, hubs had one bit of the forest fruits and screwed his face up, ok maybe that flavour just wasn't for him, so he tried the dark chocolate, and Sour Cherry, nope, he wasn't impressed- I thought ok, well I'm more the nougat lover in this family, so maybe it's just him not appreciating the nougat...No. I couldn't even finish most of them, the only one remotely -pleasant- was the Hazelnut and dark chocolate, the nuts saved it.Chocolate Orange - tasted like Potpourri, the only chocolate are the teeniest flicker on top of the nougat too, so not sure how it can really be classed as chocolate orange....Sour Cherry - bland, wouldn't have known it was cherry, never mind Sour CherryForest Fruits, tasted similar to Sour Cherry, bland, and a faint knowing it was fruit of some sort.Creme Brulee - inoffensive, but nothing amazing.Dark Chocolate - no depth of flavour, just something that faintly tastes of something you would call chocolate.White Chocolate - edible, inoffensive, but again, nothing to write home about.Zesty Lemon - surprisingly this one tasted lemony, and zesty, and was pleasant, but again, nothing fantastical.Creamy Pistachio - Where's the flavour? it was like eating nougat that had zero flavour, you just have the texture with some pistachios mixed in, that vaguely gave a nutty aftertaste.Hazelnut & Dark Chocolate - The only saving grace for me was this, as it had hazelnuts, but this one piece alone was not worth the £7.99 price tag.Over all on top of these individual problems, the majority of the nougat pieces felt grainy on the tounge, not a pleasant texture.Such a shame, we really wanted to love it, but think we will stick to their chocolates from now on.Marked giftable as 3 stars as the packaging is pretty enough to give as a gift, it isnt a huge box, and you never know what someone elses tastes are, they might like it.Everything else got 1 star, and that pains me!
