Do NOT buy any other puller! This is the best!
Wow. So, I bought two (TWO) other pulley pullers (they look exactly the same, but were cheaper). Both broke. It delayed my project for weeks.THIS UNIT - AMAZING! - I wish I had bought this one from the get-go.Easy to use. High quality. Worked first time. Second time... I've used this puller multiple times now and it's still just as good as ever. This product works well. It doesn't damage your part - a keeper for sure.I highly recommend this item. It you're thinking about the lower cost units - - don't do it. Save yourself some agony and a lot of time.

Did what it needed too
So this was less than renting, and was only going to use it once. After having to do the job more than twice (due to me). This worked, not sure of the future of some parts after but then I most likely will never use this again.Didn't need snap-on prices for this job

Great tool for the money
Great tool for the money. Took my power steering pulley off and put it back on for my pump replacement with no hassle. The instructions are a little vague so I had to google that part but once I figured it out it was smooth sailing

It is better than some of the other cast iron sleeve style puller
It will work. Not the best but you didn't pay for the best...If you have to put a great deal of torque on it to remove a pulley you better make sure you are straight and aligned properly BEFORE you give it the full trail...As long as you won't use this more than 6 times every 2 years- by then you'd want the better tools. 30 year mechanic talking BTW

Worked okay but bent and will not be useable after one use.
Tool bent while removing power steering pump pulley so I can no longer use it for removal. Still haven't been able to get the pulley back on all the way but this may not have much to do with the tool. I find that after a certain point the tool just spins inside my wrench which then turns the psp shaft and makes it impossible to tighten further. It's an okay tool and it costs about the same as renting one from the auto parts store so why not just buy yourself one?

The pulleys on these pumps are extremely tight
The tool is easier to use getting the pump pulley off. Putting the pulley on the part that screws into the pump shaft keeps loosening. This tool is made well as the other ones I’ve used. I think the shaft needs to be held so it won’t turn (I’m not sure how though). I only bought for one time use when replacing my power steering pump. Luckily the old pulley wasn’t as tight fitting as the new one so I reused the old pulley, also the original pulley is bigger diameter. FYI when I originally took the old pulley off a while ago I went to pep boys to borrow this same type of tool and it took about 4 people at the parts counter holding and turning with all their strength.

Needs more how to use instructions.
I know case uses are very wide, but a bit more information would be helpful. I did eventually utilize this product with success but only after extensively incorrect.

Worked great for installing new power steering pulley onto new pump
Bought this to install a power steering pulley onto a new power steering pump. The kit includes instructions for pulley installation as well as removal. It might seem confusing at first, but once you set it up, it's obvious how the tool is supposed to work. The kit worked great and there were no problems.Something many users forget or overlook is that this is a "forcing screw". In order to ensure success, you *must* apply a generous amount of high pressure grease to the forcing screw threads. If you do not do this, you greatly increase the risk of damaging the threads or bending/breaking the tool during use. Many of the poor reviews for tools like this, where users have bent or broken the tool, are because they did not apply high pressure grease to the forcing screw threads. Don't be like them!

Works, nothing broke
Straight forward to use, grease the threads or you won't have a good time, worked fine with an impact driver. I did have issues where it would try to cam off of the pulley, I could not solved it except by taping the collars together that go around the pulley, then slipping the retaining ring I've that. This picked up the slack, and then the pulley came off straight. My pulley shaft was rusted like hell at the end, so it took a lot for the pulley to move, if yours is like that make sure to clean up the end of the shaft for easier installation.I haven't installed any yet, but will update this afternoon when I do.

Good tool for the price for sure
I’ve worked as a automotive tech for years now this kit I use at home for moonlighting and on my personal stuff. Like any puller I have I always put something on the threads and just like my otc at work I pack the bearing with grease. I’ve used this a couple times and yet to have a problem with it

A little heat goes a long way
Snout of my pump pulley needed a little heat to help in the removal process, trying to remove without heat would probably damage both the pulley and the tool. Tool worked perfectly in the replacement of a leaking power steering pump on my 6.0L LS engine, excellent tool to have on hand.

Bon produit
