This thing has excellent grip, BUT you can’t use a solid case like an Otter Box as the mount will be off-center. Other than that… it’s better than the OEM one, IMO.

This will not balance on the gimbal with any accessory connected to it. If you plan to use this to attach a fill light or microphone be aware it will not work. You will get a message that the gimbal is off balance and then it will go in row standby mode.

I like this mount - but it is a little bulkier than the original mount. The cold shoe and 1/4-20 mount on the bottom make it a flexible phone holder for any tripod as well. The cold shoe is perfect for adding a light to the OM Gimbal.

I bought this because my S23 Ultra case is 3.5 in and they claim it fits. It did with a TON of pressure and getting it off was crazy. Way too hard. The original one with the DJI OSMO Mobile SE worked much better. Returning this product.If your case is smaller it will likely work, although why would you then since the original works? And, fully expanded it appeared to be off-center.

I couldn't really use the gimbal with my Samsung galaxy 22S ultra since the supplied clamp was too small. the Uurig clamp is larger, fits perfectly on the DJI 5 gimbal and holds my 22S ultra.
