I used this foot valve while installing a hand pump in an old hand dug water well to be used for water our garden and flowers.The foot valve as proved to be invaluable in keeping our well hand pump primed and ready to work.Thank you for an awesome product.

Seems substantial. The end screw that held the valve in place was loose and required tightening. But after two uses and leavening the pump off over night and the hose and check valve in the water, the pump lost prime because the supply hose was empty. Apparently the check value is not holding back the water in the supply hose over night. Primed the supply hose and the pump caught prime.

Used this to replace/upgrade the valve on my pond pump. The hose I bought for the pump had a plastic valve on the end, but it only lasted a year and the spring inside rusted out.

Purchased to fit new water pump

Make sure you cinch the screw on the coned screen. I'm using it to pump used motor oil.

Works well as a check valve, but also limits the flow. Would be better if filter screen was larger and more permeable.
