Get-A-Grip Chafer with Food Pan Handles 8Qt Stainless Steel

I own an 8 qt chafer I purchased from Costco about 10 years ago and needed a second for a large party I was hosting at my home. I was in a rush to get something right away so ordered this because 1) they offered Prime shipping, 2) they had one left in stock, and 3) it had five stars with four positive reviews. Unlike the other reviewers I found the quality of this product to be marginal. Compared to the unit purchased from Costco, this was of very poor quality. It is made of very thin gauge stainless that makes me wonder if it will stand the test of time. I could feel it flexing and bending as I was hand washing it, something I don't experience with my Costco Chafer. The handles are not sturdy at all and had to be tightened after one use. The frame it so thin it got bent in shipping, I assume because the box at some point took a hit to the side (although it showed no outward signs of damage. Easily bent back, but not at all what I expected in terms of quality. And it was expensive. If I had the time I could have purchased the same unit for 1/3 less from another vendor. It MIGHT be worth $40, certainly not the $60 I paid. If I had it to do over again, I would have rented.

Have not used it yet but it is exactly as pictured on Amazon. Seems to be very well made, good quality and good price! The handles on the food pan will be very handy.

Very happy with this product! Liked it better than the same chafing unit that is exactly alike but this one has handles on the food pan@Love this!!!
