unreasonably great automatic portable espresso machine
I have been using the outin nano as my daily espresso machine for ~ 6 months now, and it has become one of my favorite products across all of the things that I own. I have extensively used both the included nespresso adapter and the nano basket plus (separate accessory). For ~$200 with accessories, this little machine makes exceptional coffee that stands up as a daily driver. The nano basket makes a significantly better shot than nespresso pods, but the pods are hard to beat for convenience. The basket does require attention to grind size and mass of coffee for consistent results. Also, and unsurprisingly, there is no shot pressure control, so grind size, mass, and amount of water used are the only variables available to adjust your extraction. If you don't yet have a grinder you like, I've found that ~17.5g of Illy's classic espresso grind or decaf is a good place to start. I have not used the included espresso basket as it is significantly smaller than the nano basket and has too many plastic components for my comfort.Beyond making a solid cup of espresso, this unit really shines in it's portability- it can be tossed in a bag for car camping, road trips, or hotel stays. It is sheer luxury to be able to get back to a hotel or AirBnB late or wake up early to dependably delicious coffee. Also, for those who are nomadic, it is liberating to be able to stick your espresso setup in a bag as you move from one location to the next. More amazing, in a pinch, espresso can be made completely on battery power (as opposed to using a kettle to boil the water first), though this uses up battery life fast.I also purchased outin's stand, which seems expensive at $40, but is well built and so far sturdy enough to stand up to daily use. Also, it is surprisingly helpful, and I would not want to go back to not having it. The other necessary accessory is a scale, I have had good luck with this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097Q89BZN?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1.I do have some nits. The chief one is that if you plan to make multiple shots of espresso back to back, the metal basket gets quite hot / somewhat challenging to empty and refill. I am hopeful that they will make it possible to buy multiple baskets without needing to buy a full kit to make this issue go away. Also, my first outin broke after ~ a month from what was likely a manufacturing defect. However, Outin responded quickly to my support request and sent me a replacement unit with very little back and forth. The replacement has worked flawlessly since.Overall, I have really enjoyed my outin nano and recommend it highly.

Great addition to kitchen without being a big appliance!
I'm totally agreeing with what others have commented on about this small gem . I've had all types of coffee and espresso makers and because I don't drink a ton of coffee, most are in my garage, awaiting to be used. My boyfriend uses a french press and when I saw this simple but very effective product I decided to give it a try. I wanted to be able to have a quick, easy expresso without a big footprint and all the bells and whistles . This is it. You simply add water to the top, put a pod or ground into the bottom and in about two minutes you have a lovely expresso. I added the stand because I wanted to use my double walled glass coffee and expresso cups that I bought on Amazon (and recommend) because I'm using it at home. For travel or office it comes with its own plastic bottom cup. The stand can be ordered if you scroll down to where they have items you can add on. So far I've just loved this small addition to my kitchen. Price is great too!

Exceptional after sales support!!!
I think i have wrote already how amazing this device is.I can repeat my self of course - if you love your coffee and you want to enjoy it almost anywhere this device is a must for you.But this time i want to talk about the aftersales support. For some unknown reason our Outin started glitching and stopped working.Without a hesitation Outin's team offered their support by investing what happened. And once identified that electronics went down, which is ultra rare case, team offered me a full refund by ordering a brand new Outin. So i am once againa a super happy Outin user!!Highly recommended!!!

Update: Bad quality and no phone/chat support
5/21/25 update:Amazon support was exceptional. They informed me that outin provides 24 months warranty and they initiated a support case online. Outin responded and offered to replace the item. Then they followed up and offered a full return which I accepted. Would have wished this product to work as I think it’s the only one that offers a double basket.Outin’s support was also very good after I had made the contact. I didn’t expect to hear back on my email query but I did get a response from them too. Email based support in my opinion is not such a great option as it’s a disconnected method. I can understand phone and chat can be expensive, but an online case management tool can be so much better like what Amazon did.————used it for the second time on my first trip and the motor is not turning on. There is no phone support line, just email. What I waste. I had even bought the double shot basket. Will update if someone contacts me back.

Best travel coffee maker
I have been traveling a lot lately and this machine has been rock solid and consistent. I’ve been using it twice a day for several weeks to make Americano coffees. This paired with the water bottle type heaters for traveling has worked amazingly well.I have used both the ground coffee adapter, and the pod adapter, and they both taste very good and consistent. I have switched to the pods for traveling and it has made it very quick and convenient to make a coffee, not having to worry about a hand grinder and dealing with the coffee grounds. But when I’m at home, I do use the ground coffee adapter and it makes very good espresso shots. So far I have had no issues with the device and with the preheated water to 171° I can get easily seven or eight coffee shots. I have yet to run it out of battery while making coffee.

Easy to use machine for convenient, tasty espresso!
Amazing!Love this device. Bought it for a convenient jolt of caffeine during sailboat trips. So easy to fire off a quick cup when needed- nice and hot to perk up a midwatch shift. And so many coffee brand options... My current favorite is Cafe Bustelo...At my desk in the office, the guys I work with refer to it as my Rocket Launcher...It fits in a retasked Bluetooth speaker case nicely with a couple extra pods....
