Q: I know the watch is waterproof up to 100m, but has anyone actually taken it in the water (snorkeling, swimming, etc)? If yes, were any problems?

These watches are water resistant, not waterproof, up to 100m. Water resistance indicates how well a watch is sealed against the ingress of water. It is usually accompanied by an indication of the static test pressure that a sample of newly manufactured watches were exposed to in a leakage test. The test pressure can be indicated either directly in units of pressure such as bar , atmospheres, or (more commonly) as an equivalent water depth in metres (in the United States sometimes also in feet). An indication of the test pressure in terms of water depth does not mean a water resistant watch was designed for repeated long-term use in such water depths. For example, a watch marked 30 metres water resistant cannot be expected to withstand activity for longer time periods in a swimming pool, let alone continue to function at 30 metres under water. This is because the test is conducted only once using static pressure on a sample of newly manufactured watches. The test for qualifying a diving watch for repeated usage in a given depth includes safety margins to take factors into account like aging of the seals, the properties of water and seawater, rapidly changing water pressure and temperature, as well as dynamic mechanical stresses encountered by a watch. Also every diving watch has to be tested for water resistance or water-tightness and resistance at a water overpressure as it is officially defined.

Q: Can I just buy the band? I already have this watch and need a new band.

I'm unsure if you can buy only the band if you're able to, it would be from this link on amazon. Also note that the band's design flows onto the watch itself, it may be out of place attached to another watch.

How to lock ? Wont stop turning when locking the crown.

My friend (who has high functioning Autism) destroyed my sanity rambling on about this watch and it's details. He does not have a good relationship with money management, so when this came on sale I agreed to buy this on Amazon as a Birthday present to himself with payment upfront.We are now both very happy. Sorry can't give many star now. Just received the watch but after every hour or so the watch keep stopping. Knowing it a solar watch i have put it by the window to capture the sunlight for a hour but still keeps stopping after a hour or so . Can any one suggest something or should I returned it back .
