Great Tool for Small DIY Home Projects - Useful Tips
I am an avid DIYer. I think this track saw is by far better guided and safer than my cordless circular saw. Here are a few things I learned using this saw. I always use safety, wear eye protection, face protection and hand protection when using this saw. 1. I use C-clamps to create stops around the piece I will be cutting especially if the piece is smaller than the work space (cutting table). This keeps the piece from moving under the track giving me a more accurate cut. I just use blocks of wood or MDF to create stops. I keep stops away from cutting blade. 2. Clean the track. This saw can put off a lot of dust, I keep a small paint brush close by and sweep the track after each cut. Sweeping the tracks can help me to keep the saw from jumping. 3. I use a different blade. In my opinion the better the blade the better the cut. I use the Diablo 60T 6.5" fine finish blade for a very sharp smooth cut. 4. I use a Owens Corning 1.5" foam insulation board under whatever I am cutting to provide a buffer. Works well for me and also helps with material not sliding. As long as I am using it in conjunction with the C-clamps. 5. For projects that take a lot of cuts or bigger projects, the cordless may not be the best option. I am doing an easy project but have a lot of cuts and noticed I am having to recharge batteries more than I like. I will probably order an electric one for those more detailed projects that take a lot of cutting to save on time. Stopping to recharge batteries in the middle of the project slows things down. Love this saw for small DIY projects.

I looked @ the track saw market & reviews on u tube, took me a couple of days whether to spent $1,000 + or just a few hundred & change. I'm telling you this light weight battery track saw works great, wen is becoming a major player in constriction tools, I have purchased other wen products including their fold up saw horses & I have never had a problem, Thank you wen for smoking makita, bosch, milwaukee & the other outfits that are dbl over charging for their products
