Steinzeit Teapot with warmer black

Brews loose leaf or tea bags very well. Infuser is easy to use, has small enough holes so loose tea does not escape into the water but large enough to hold several tea bags. Water stays hot, love the spot for a tea light to help keep tea warm. Tea pours very well, great design. You do need to boil water & pour into tea pot. You could probably make some tea using only tap water & tea light but it wouldn’t be “hot”.

This is an excellent teapot. First let me address some bad reviews I saw and give my opinion. This is NOT a "Tea Kettle". It is not made for a stove top and also NOT made to go into a microwave. And while that it says dishwasher safe, that does not mean heated dry in the dishwasher safe. It only means you can wash it in one. This is a teapot. Made to pour boiled water into and let tea steap on a counter OR over its ceramic base with a tea light candle. It is not a kettle it will NOT whistle, it's a TEA POT. Also, 2 hours in with the pot on the ceramic base with a lit tea light and the tea is drinkable hot. Not to hot as to burn your mouth, but hot. Not warm. And the less tea the Hotter it gets ! Also. It IS a German teapot but the distributer is in China. I know because I did the research. This is a very common. I have no complaints other than that black is the only color Amazon carries. So my advice is : Know the difference between Teapot and Tea Kettle and hand wash. You won't be disappointed.

It arrived chipped but I am sending back for another because I loved this pot. The size is great and it pours liquid very well. It is also very sleek looking.

Finally got to use my tea pot and warmer and I am really enjoying it. Beautiful design, holds a good amount of tea and best of all my tea stays warm. I use the warmer and tea pot on the patio and I enjoy just the tea pot indoors. This makes a great gift to yourself or a tea lover you know

I was very excited for this teapot. I wanted to try something other than the $20ish glass teapots that I have used for the last several years. They served me well but they are, no surprise, very fragile. This teapot looked very sturdy and I loved the idea of a matching warmer (so far I've been using one I nicked from my dad and that thing must be over 40 years old by now). When the set arrived, it was superbly packaged and it would have taken quite some force to break anything on the inside. After a quick wash and drying, I was ready for my first cuppa. Right away I could feel the quality of the pot and warmer. The teapot is well balanced and the lid holds in place fairly well (I will still hold it in place with my other hand though). The color is beautiful, definitely on the browner side, but it is a great piece of craftsmanship. However, there are a couple of things that I do not like: The teapot and warmer don't match up perfectly. There is always a bit of a wobble, no matter how I position the pot. Not terrible, but noticeable and not great. This is caused by the inner ring of the warmer being warped. The bottom of the pot itself is nice and flat though. Secondly, the spout ALWAYS drips after pouring a cup. My much cheaper glass teapots never had that issue. Maybe it's down to the pots being handmade and this one just wasn't done right? I'll reach out to the seller and see what should be done. Until then it's rather disappointing for the money.
