Solid hardware and annoying software
I wish the software could match the qualitu of the camera. Setup is atrociously convoluted, and I'm a computer engineer. Included documentation is frequently incorrect, and their online tutorials are occasionally useful, yet also flawed. I genuinely believe nobody at Humaneyes has ever tried taking a new phone and new out of the box Vuse and tried to walk through their setup as documented. The software would need to improve to be called flakey. Connects to phone via private WiFi connection, meaning your camera becomes it's own WiFi spot and you have to connect to the camera instead of your WiFi router, losing internet. This WiFi connection is unreliable and weak, and absolutely will fail you in crowded areas. You will look like a tool standing there, holding the camera straight above your head, staring at your phone for a solid 60 seconds just trying to get or keep WiFi connected and be able to take a photo. I mean, come on, they are 3 feet apart.Despite these software issues, the hardware is pretty good. In bright light, photos are pretty crisp, and acceptably fair in indoor light. The 3D effect works well in VR, particularly for objects about 2 to 10 feet away. Quibbles aside, I bring this camera with me to notable sites and trips to capture vastly more immersive moments than can be experienced with a normal photo.I do NOT recommend this to anyone who isn't at least moderately tech savvy. I also do not think this can ever be used for "quick shots" as the time from "I think I'll take a photo" to "click" is a full minute.I do recommend this to people who have VR headsets, are sort of tech savvy, and looking into VR photography at a reasonable price. Let me restate this: If you are someone who occasionally has tech questions and has someone to call, don't get this. If you are they person they call, you can handle it.The hardware is good, results are good enough, and software can be muscled through enough to generate nice 3D 360 content.

Cool with issues
Overall this is cool and pretty unique, that is, I think the only thing of its kind in this price range. I successfully made this an action cam with a standard-camera-mount-to-GoPro adapter. The video is decent though a little jarring at times. The resolution is not really adequate to fully enjoy... an 8k version of this would be much better. Probably next version. There are some issues with the software. To update firmware, copy the right firmware (Vuze, not Vuze XR) to the microSD, rename firmware.bin and put in camera and turn on. The renaming part wasn't mentioned in the manual. I also downloaded the Vuze XR app by mistake first, for this you want Vuze period. The manual doesn't mention connecting to the Vuze's Wifi, you've gotta do that. I also saw some reviews saying it only records 30 seconds, not true, I got a good 40 min motorcycle ride. Make sure your microSD is big enough obviously.I've also had big issues with the exporting software. The default export is not 3D for some reason??? Glitch I guess (it does say 3D, I'm not picking the wrong setting). I tried the "Youtube" export and that worked, but to do this I'm not able to edit the video first... it's all pretty weird and confusing. Software is extremely limited.Still, for wow factor it gets 3 stars. Honestly you might be better off with the XR one that does either 360 or 3D, but I think that would be even harder to make an action cam since it's tall.

Not ready now, unsure of when it would be ready at all
Having used many other 360 platforms (LG 360, Gear 360 and the Theta) I really wanted this to work...really...but I am quite disappointed at both the quality and the experience. For starters, the unit would not record more that 30 seconds of footage, the stitching is horrendous and it seemed that the lenses were not in sync as far at the focus was concerned as some of the sides looked blurry while others were reasonable well focused and lastly, the app for your phone is as half baked as a raw potato. This idea clearly isnt ready for prime time, I advise to stay away from this thing as is is not worth it even at a quarter of its asking price.

No tech support
When you turn it on the very first time, it does not work immediately. You have to upgrade the firmware first.

Five Stars
Love it. Been waiting a long time for a camera that can do what this one does.
