Spectra Premium Industrial Engine Oil Pan FP20B

Oil pan came on time and in tact. Fit perfectly on our 99 f-250. The truck is still in the process of being put back together, but so far no complaints.Update: truck was back in commission about a week after this review was written. We've made several long trips and it's a daily driver with this oil pan installed and after 9 months and about 30k miles, it's holding up just fine with no leaks or issues.

They did an okay job at shipping it, we didn't think it was bent but after we put silicone on it and went to install it it was apparently diamond shaped so only a couple of bolts would start, once you start this job you have like 5 mins before the silicone starts to set up so it was very frustrating.The pan works good, mine came with the dipstick flange gasket and now I'm not adding a gallon of oil to the truck every week

Seems like a quality pan. I was worried about the slight gap upfront under the water pump but I’m guessing and hoping it will hold oil. If not I will cry. I painted it so it comes gloss black not as pictured. Use ford rtv is what everyone says. Also use ford dipstick tube and adapters not Dorman they fit property in the panUpdate: it works perfect. I have a Pesin plug leak. I’d advise switching the aluminum crush washer to brass. But everything else is aces and for a cheap price

Used to replace my old oil pan. The first oil pan amazon sent me was damaged. Make sure you inspect the sealing surface very well. There was a small manufacturing defect. Contacted Spectra and they never contacted me back. Amazon overnighted one to me on their dollar. Very good customer surface. I pulled the engine and used ford motorcraft grey silicone when i did mine. The engine needs to be on a stand and flipped upside down for 24 hours prior to installing oil pan. Then the sealant needs another 24 hours to cure. No leaks so far and alot cheaper then what a new motorcraft oil pan would have cost me

This oil pan fit perfectly on my 7.3 l motor, all the bolt holes lined up well. I recommend getting the original gray moto craft 7.3 oil pan silicone to install this. The paint is fine and there is no paint inside which is great. It didn't come with any bolts but it came with the oil dipstick flange o-ring. The paint job was fine/minimal but if you're looking to upgrade then hit it with a few coats of chemical resistant bed liner from your favorite automotive store.

This is a quality item. If used with the Moroso gasket you will have to relieve the outside rolled edge with a grinder a few fractions of an inch to accommodate the oil filter housing.
