Jetboil Flash Cooking System - Carbon, One Size

Excellent piece of kit. I carry this everywhere I go. Boils in 2 minutes flat. Love it.

I purchased this to go with my kit as an adult volunteer with the RAF Air Cadets. This has been a godsend when out on Sennybridge training area on the ranges- a hot brew always does the trick. The Jetboil for those who are not familar with it, is a compact, foldaway cooking system that is the choice of regular service personnel the world over (never had such a cracking bit of kit when i was in!). The contents and cannister break down and stow in the 1l capacity cup. The main product point (and as the name suggests) is the speed it can boil up water.. approx 2mins. The cup is insulated with a neoprene sleeve and has a handle. the sleeve also has a temp sensor up the side that gives an indication of when the water is ready. The 1l capacity also allows the user to boil/heat up MRE (Meals Ready to Eat - military ration packs that now come in a boil-in the bag pouch). Fuel is a small, inexpensive butane cannister- you can use bigger sizes, but these will be too big to stow in the cup once broken down. The unit is stabilised by a fold out stand that clips on the base of the fuel cannister, thus preventing it being blown over. Once broken down the unit will easily fit into a issue webbing pouch. A little on the expensive side, however Jetboil is the original brand, with other imitating - My advice is purchase this, as it will last you year if looked after.. I never go away without mine now..

Great product, does exactly what it says in the marketing blurb. Hot water for 3-4 cups of coffee/tea in 1-2 minutes. Really lightweight and easy too use, and the gas stores easily in the cup. My son is delighted with this for his D of E Gold Expedition!

This is one brilliant piece of kit. I have just returned from a 10-day camping trip in the Shetlands. I used the Jetboiler for coffee making a lot and also a little cooking. It is easy to assemble/disassemble and with the clicker option it is easy to ignite. I loved it!!

I took this on my gold DofE, which for everyone who doesn't know is 4 days, 3 nights This stove boiled all of my and a friends water for the whole of the expedition, still over half full (gas) It boiled the water super quickly, much much faster than the trangiea which we also brought as a group. As the stove unit is the same power as the trangia we had, I used us a lot less gas than the others in my group as this is far more efficient. The only problems I have with it is: That it costs a lot for a stove Doesn't have fine control of the flame rate Some gas canisters freeze up and need shaking Which cannot be done easily on this The flame also seems to go out easily in strong winds A lot of limescale builds up on the bottom of the container after heavy usage

The Jetboil system is amazing. While Jetboils are designed for heating water, after studying different units, I bought the Flash because it appeared that it would work for a 9” pot or pan with the “Jetboil pot support” adaptor and it has a self-igniter. My wife and I took this on a 4 week camping trip to Baja. As others will attest, these units are very efficient and heat water very quickly (within a couple of minutes or so). (Watch for the yellow coloring to infiltrate the image on the side of the 2-cup mug. If you don’t need the water boiling, you can turn the gas off before the whole image turns yellow.) We only used it for heating tea water once or twice a day (often twice). We kept waiting for the first, small, 230g fuel can to run out, but it lasted for 20 days! Be sure you find a way to pack the unit up so the little wire used to ignite the gas is not bent. If it does get bent, you can use needle-nose pliers to bend it back into position. Otherwise, you can use a match or charcoal lighter to ignite the gas (I had a charcoal lighter in case I needed it). How I pack it: I put the orange gas canister base in the cup first; then the control/igniter unit in upside down with the “pot support” in place to keep the control/igniter unit high enough so the igniter wire does not touch anything; then I put a washcloth in to hold everything in place; then the mug’s cover goes on. I was advised to use Jetboil fuel cans. The unit will work with some other brands but may not be as efficient.

Box and everything were from jetboil flash but the burner was from jetboil zip, no piezoelectric and way cheaper. Also the burner look a bit used, terrible experience

Super produit! Peut-être un peu plus cher que d'autres modèles mais franchement super léger. Super pratique même quand il y a du vent l'isolant est incroyable ! Je recommande fortement.
