Buy this instead of the official link cable.
Having multiple vr headsets it was rough with limited bandwith trying to stream via WiFi, games from the pc’s to our headsets. The price of the official link cable was disgusting so figured I’d take a risk on a cheaper alternative. I was truly surprised to not only find out it worked flawlessly, but the optional ability to provide power and plug the charger in simultaneously was incredible. The cable is flexible enough to allow movement but stiff enough to avoid bending and tearing thanks to the braided sheathing. It’s easy to use and the standard usb c fit perfectly. Being usb-c there wasn’t any compatibility issues and I can use it to charge my devices or plug in an Xbox controller if needed. All in all for the money I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again. Super happy and pleasantly surprised it actually worked flawlessly.

Incredible Customer Service
Since leaving my original review, the manufacturer reached out to me to try to resolve my issue. They were adamant that they stood by their warranty.I was provided with a replacement and asked to test that it worked as expected as the engineers had found an issue that was resolved in later models. Freya, from their customer service team, contacted me frequently to ensure that I was happy with the replacement and that it worked as expected. Not once did I have to chase for an update. They were the most proactive customer service team that I had ever experienced.So... The new hardware... It works as a charging cable now, which was the only gripe that I had before. When connected to the headset and playing it appears to hold a charge. I did not notice it lose charge while connected so also a win.Overall, if you are looking for a decent length cable to extend your VR play time, I can recommend this.In order to be fully transparent and to highlight how good their customer service was, I am leaving my original review below.---Original Review - Please read above for revised review---As a connection to my PC, this cable works great but not so much as a charging cable. No matter which order I connect the power cable, the headset still discharges at normal or very slightly under normal speed. This results in a low battery warning. This is the same on my quest 1 and 3 with and without battery pack.I have even left it connected overnight and it has not fully charged the battery pack.Mine maybe faulty. Not sure but others have reported similar and many have stated that it works as expected.

SmartProtect2.0 appears non-functional, always-on over-bright green LED, but otherwise excellent
I purchased a INIU 5M VR Link Cable for £17.99. I am using it to connect my Meta Quest 3 to my tower PC.The cable length is great and allows me to move in a 3m by 3m area with the cable remaining loose and about 1m of the cable being used to reach from my PC to the edge of my playing area.Without connecting the Meta charging cable, the Quest 3 slow-charges using power supplied by the PC. When connecting the Meta charging cable, the Quest 3 fast-charges and appears to charge at a high enough rate than the battery level remains static, or increase, during extended periods using the Quest 3.The advertised built-in SmartProtect2.0 chip appears to be non-functional as the Quest 3 continues charging to 100% rather than the claimed "safe battery range of around 78%" (this is why I have given 4 stars rather than 5 stars). The Meta Horizon Link application's USB Test reports 3.1 Gbps when I connect the cable to the fastest USB port on my PC (a 10 Gbps capable USB port on the rear panel of an Asus B550-F motherboard). I understand that around 3 Gbps is as good as it gets with a Quest 3, so this is a great result for this link cable. The USB Test reported only 2.3 Gbps when I tried the cable using a front-panel USB 5 Gpbs port (via motherboard header), so it is worth trying different USB ports to find the fastest (probably the one closest to the CPU).The cable appears to be robust and sturdy, so hopefully the wires inside won't become kinked or otherwise damaged during normal use. Obviously one needs to be careful to avoid stepping on or tripping over the cable during play. The cable has a very bright green LED at the end connected to the Quest 3. This could be disturbing (especially if sleeping in the same room as the cable), so it might be necessary to either disconnect the cable or somehow cover the light (e.g. masking tape). The problem of modern devices having always-on over-bright LEDs is a very common affliction, so I have not docked any stars (but I wish manufacturers would provide some way for consumers to turn these LEDs off).Dispite the issues mentioned above (SmartProtect2.0 appears non-functional; always-on over-bright green LED), I am very happy with the INIU 5M VR Link Cable and would recommend it for use with a Meta Quest 3.

Great cable for PCVR with the Quest 3, charges great with stable connection
Set up - plug the usb-c into your headset and the pc, make sure you have a USB-C slot on your pc or an adapter to a 10Gb/s USB A slot will work. Then plug your quest 3 charger into a power outlet and then the USB-c to the power brick and voila unlimited PCVRWorked well connecting my quest 3 to my pc and charging it at the same time so I can play for hours. Has enough data transfer speed to have no issues using it. The cable is high quality too for the price whilst also looking premium and being thick. The connection was stable and very easy to set up.Overall amazing product and I spilt stuff on it and it still works so I can’t complain.

Very good - power and PC-VR use
Fits the Quest 3S perfectly and the supplemental USB-C connector keeps the headset at 100% while in use when used in conjunction with the stock USB-C wall adapter.Very good quality lead. I personally like braided cables so I'm happy with that. The cable is relatively stiff / firm. It is flexible but not like a soft silicon cable. The Connectors are all good quality and they have been terminated well.Overall an excellent cable at a very competitive price. I did a fair amount of research before I bought it and it works perfectly. High data rate when I plug it into my PC. My motherboard has 3.1 ports for Standard USB size connections and a 2-off USB C as well and there's absolutely no bottleneck from this cable. Great for PC-VR which is probably why you are buying this and what you actually want to know. The supplementary USB-C power on the side of the cable makes it possible to use your headset at 100% all the time. It's cheap and definitely one of the good ones. Recommended.

Works well with Quest 3 and a decent USB 3 charger
This cable is thick very well braided with decent material covering it. It does not seem to fray nor does it kink. It also remains very flexible. so far so good.I have used it for a few months now, quite heavily. It remains as good as new.Connecting it with a good USB 3 charger, well a 3amp one, it seems to supply enough current to reasonably keep my Quest 3 charged whilst using. I do think that can be dependant on how your game is demanding a lot from the Quest 3 and the limitations will include the power supplied as it is this cable. Please see my screenshots.Good power indications, with lights, are offered on the cables connector to the headset. It is an angled connector and locks into place. It does not come loose. The cable was used for a few hours in total and the battery for the Quest 3 showed at 96%, see photo. That was the same as when I first started to use it.On some less intensive occasions it will add to the charge already in the headset, in other s the drain is very little but noticeable over time. This cable seems to offer great value for money and great connectivity. I can push the frame rates higher and do not get stuttering associated with WiFi issues. No stuttering or latency concerns noted.Using the Oculus Debug Tool you can increase the bitrate using this cable. The usual limitations are there, cables and not WiFi, but I use this for certain sat PCVR titles tha tI play seated and it works a treat. In other situations the WiFi connection is absolutely preffered. No one fit all solution is going to cover every use type.I absolutely do recommend this cable and it has worked great.I hope this is helpful for you.Happy gaming.

Perfect for Quest 3
This is a great cable that offers plenty of length, making it ideal for VR setups where movement and flexibility are key. When used with my Quest 3, it not only provides a stable connection for playing PC VR titles through Link but also keeps the headset fully charged throughout long play sessions. This makes it a perfect solution for those who don’t want to worry about battery drain mid-game.The build quality is impressive, with a durable yet flexible design that doesn’t feel stiff or restrictive. Despite the length, the cable remains lightweight enough to avoid feeling cumbersome, allowing for a more immersive experience without constant readjustment. The connection is stable and reliable, ensuring smooth performance without latency issues or sudden disconnections. One of the standout features is how well it integrates with the head strap. The cable routes neatly along the strap without adding noticeable weight or pulling on the headset. It stays out of the way during gameplay, reducing the chance of accidental tugs or discomfort. Whether you’re using a stock strap or a third-party one, it doesn’t interfere with the fit or balance of the headset. For the price, it offers excellent value. Many cheaper alternatives struggle to deliver both a consistent power supply and a reliable data connection, leading to slower charging or intermittent dropouts. This cable, however, does both exceptionally well, making it a fantastic investment for anyone looking to enhance their PC VR gaming with the Quest 3. If you want a hassle-free experience with plenty of freedom to move, this is an easy recommendation.

Charges quest 3 while playing
Good quality cable which actually charges the Quest 3 while playing, seen it consume as high as 24watts (using 100watt Anker charger).

Charges slowly, but keeps me topped up while playing
After getting a replacement cable from INIU support I'm happy to tell the cable charges, albeit very very slowly. But this is good enough for me.Their support is also very quick to respond, so don't hesitate to contact them if you have issues like I had before.Original Review below:While the cable works just fine as a "Link" cable, the charging speed is no faster than a normal USB cable (only saw a max of 8W), very dissapointing

Update
Cable looks really good in terms of quality, but I can't get it to work... I followed the steps first connecting to PC then Quest 3 then Power the headset will charge and quickly, but nothing shows up on my PC. I tried connecting my Phone to it and my PC still wont detect my phone. the cable will only charge when I connect external type c power to the chip ( it will charge without connecting the cable to my PC) so I think my cable is damaged from the PC side or i am doing something wrong? So 1 Star because it charges ands looks good but i want to issue a return...Update:requested a return and ordered a new one. The new cable is functional and can transmit up to 2.9gbps so playing using the quest 3 is smooth with no issues. Charging though it sometimes charges or sometimes it will drain slowly and im noy sure why that is. One day it will stay at 100% through out the whole session and another it will slowly drop but still enough to play 5-6 hours.Yesterday i played continous 5 hours When i was done thr battery was at 28% after dtarting out at 100%. Using the original Quest 3 brick with it.Sometimes disconnecting thr charger and reconnecting will fix it but causes the usb to disconnect from the PC.
