Surprisingly tasty and moist Salty Almond Caramel
I very rarely write reviews, as I don't thave the time to do that. But these protein bars deserve to be given justice.I ordered them despite the surprisingly low rating as they have very high protein content and they are made in Germany, and in general I really like German vegan protein bars. And I was not disappointed. 2 small bars in each pack, surprisingly moist and slightly chewy, with strong marzipan flavour. Despite the very low sugar content, they taste really, really sweet. And since I bith love marzipan and have a sweet tooth - WINNING!I will DEFINITELY be ordering these again, and I am definitely going to be trying the other flavours as well.10/10 from me, highly recommended, also a good value for money

Like eating solid nail polish remover
I bought the banana flavour and was optimistic but very disappointed. They have an awful chemical taste. The bar smells like nail polish remover and tastes like chemicals. They are foul. Anything that smells and tastes this bad can’t be good for you. Avoid!!!

Pleasantly surprised - good flavour
I recently tried these Vegan protein bars from Powerbar, specifically the Protein Plus Low Sugar Vegan Salty Almond Caramel flavour, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. As someone who follows a vegan diet and is always on the lookout for high-quality protein sources, these bars hit the spot. With a whopping 20 grams of protein per bar, I felt full and satisfied after just one serving. And unlike other protein bars I've tried, these had a pleasant texture and flavour, making them feel more like a treat than a chore. One of the things I appreciate most about these bars is that they're low in sugar, which is a rarity among protein bars. As someone who tries to limit my sugar intake, it's really important to me to find tasty and nutritious snacks without loading up on added sugars. These bars strike that balance perfectly. The Salty Almond Caramel flavour is pretty good, considering these are Vegan, with just the right amount of sweetness and a satisfying crunch from the almonds. And since these bars come in a pack of 12, they're perfect for grabbing on the go or keeping in my desk drawer for a quick and convenient snack.Overall, I would definitely recommend these Powerbar Protein Plus Low Sugar Vegan Salty Almond Caramel bars to anyone looking for a delicious and nutritious vegan protein source.

Okay-ish
This review is for the Salty Almond Caramel flavour :I like that these are high in protein and, low in sugar,vegan-free, so they are available for everyone. The packaging is good and easy to carry around when going for a long cycle ride or run, so keeping them handy when needed is good. Also, I haven't seen it melt in my bag pack after carrying it for a long time which is perfect for avoiding mess.My wife didn't like the taste; my 18 years old also didn't like it; they say it tastes like a washing liquid. However, when I tasted it, first, I could taste a nice caramel on top, and then the rest was similar to Dettol. However, it is still eatable for me, and I don't like waste, and the self-life is long (02/24), so I can finish everything by then. It's my preference; as we all know, everyone responds differently to taste. And even the same taste on two different people will taste differently. So it is only possible to see if you'll like this protein bar by trying it yourself first.I hope this review helps you to make a purchasing decision.

Not my thing
After tasting one protein bar I remind myself the cakes my mum made in the past with almond essences. The flavour was very similar but texture totally different than these bars have. Each bar has two pieces inside the packet. So we can share with others (keep for later) if can't finish the whole thing in one go.The protein bar is not the tastiest I've tried over the time but it's OK. There is some crunch in it, some caramel flavour layer too. It's vegan thing though so no animal products in it such a milk, eggs, only plants and a bit of a help of a science. One bar gives 155kcal which is reasonable amount. There are 10 months left to consume these bars before they expire.Probably I won't purchase these bars again because I didn't enjoy the flavour as much as different bars that I like. There is something inside these bars that makes my throat tingling or something like that, which I didn't like.

Substance
It took a few bars to get accustomed to the taste and texture of Powerbars, which are relatively understated. The key factors for me are substance (is it filling), calories (low please) and being tasty but not to the ‘I want another and another’ extent.14%/5.7 grams of fibre in a bar delivering only 155 calories is pretty good for post swim (when I burn off 800 active calories over a kilometre). They assuage the usual carbohydrate crave that can result in me consuming more fast food than I have burned off and keep my blood sugar in check. There is nothing worse than having sugar snacks after exercise and then hitting a blood sugar crash an hour later. The covering tastes of chocolate and the content has the consistency of a firm Milky Way. A rather unusual sensation, mildly chewy and laced lightly with almonds and threads of salted caramel. A single bar was filling and it tasted nice but I didn’t need another. That’s important because I have been using a bar with a similar aim but it tastes like a caramel chocolate bar. Result - I ate 2 or 3 on the pretext that they are good for me.The Powerbar is a better solution. for me. Filling, tasty, low sugar, high fibre but not over tempting. Highly recommended after gym, swim or cycle.

Not good at all
it came close to the expire date. The chocolate was white like old chocolate

Ok
Bought these for the decent calorie to protein ratio as an alternative to a more popular vegan protein bar brand. But wasn’t very impressed with the taste which is pretty much just artificial sweetener. Probably wouldn’t buy again.
