Sweet Instalove story
Dex James is a 27 year old, fun loving, all around nice guy/hockey player in Denver. Lindy Beckett is a 35 year old bored accountant that also writes spicy romance books in her spare time.Dex falls head over heels in love the moment he meets Lindy. He moves to Hunter Valley for off season to be closer to Lindy and see if he can woo her into a real relationship. Lindy doesn’t really know what to do with Dex because she’s never met a man like him. She wants a stable family life with kids - the whole white picket fence deal. Dex can’t give her that right now because of hockey. She had one serious relationship but he bailed when her parents died, and she had to raise her sister Bridget. Dex wants something more than puck bunnies but doesn’t know how to make it work the way Lindy wants. They get married in Vegas and she freaks out. The majority of the book focuses on what led up to Vegas. Dex tries his best to make her see he’s sincere but Lindy is so (annoyingly) hung up on their age gap and his career. That was my only issue with this book. Lindy wouldn’t shut up about their ages or that he moves around playing hockey.Overall, the book was really good and ended perfectly. Lindy’s whining is the reason for the star reduction.

charming, funny, and spicy
I am obsessed with Dex! I am not always a fan of the insta-love, but Dex had such alpha vibes I couldn't help but be charmed by him. I found myself laughing out loud and equally blushing from page to page. I easily swooned over this young billionaire hockey player who had mega alpha vibes and a big heart for charity and children. Dex is a dirty talker with a take charge attitude, and he's everything Lindy needs to spice up her life. Although this was a reverse age gap as well, you hardly remembered that fact when Dex had a thing for spankings and bossing Lindy in bed. This book was sweet, romantic, steamy, charming, and laugh out loud funny. I fell in love with all of these characters including Dex's other brothers, Lindy's sister, and the business owners of this small town.If you enjoy charming small town, romcom, sport, and billionaire romances than romance has it all. You can expect to also find a small reverse age gap, forced proximity, insta-love, a lot of laughter, and a lot of spice in this book. I absolutely loved every minute of this book.

Loved It
I find this author’s work to be unpredictable, except in the sex department, where it’s always steamy. However, this book didn’t have the same steam punch but it had the perfect man in Dex. He’s my favorite character she’s ever written so far. He’s adorable. While I don’t usually like the whole insta love trope and I thought Lindy’s barriers were kind of lame, I really did enjoy their story a lot. This series has me hooked, some of her best story crafting.

Loved It
Loved it - what can you say I feel in love with Dex and Lindy, and loved the way he feel in love with her after the very first time he meet her, and the things he does and says to her gave me the feels.

Each book follows a different set of characters and can be read as a stand-alone but to get the most of the story it is suggested to read the books in order.𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:Lindy had to grow up too fast. At 23, When her parents perished in a fatal car accident, leaving her to raise her 10y/o sister, her whole world changed. Adulting she must! But that also meant putting a lot of her wants and dreams on the back burner. Now at 35, with her younger sister grown and in a relationship of her own… Lindy is ready to find her Mr. Right, settle down, have kids and maybe even pursue her dreams of writing romance novels. Then she meets Dex James. She knows he’s filthy rich and thinks at age 27, he is just a trust fund baby out looking to score... but just maybe she could take him for a ride. What could be so wrong about playing with Mr. Right Now..?Dex James is a well know professional hockey player… well known to every one except Lindy Beckett apparently, which is actually quite refreshing. Dex knew from the time he first laid eye on Lindy that he would marry her. HE’s never been one to sleep around or look for empty meaningless hook ups. He wants to settle down, he wants a family, and he wants it with Lindy. Now he just has to connivence her of that. When I tell you I could not put this book down… I mean it. I knew from book one that fun and flirty Dex James was going to be a fun character to read and I was not disappointed. Lindy was somewhat of a control freak. Always making sure everything ran according to plan so it was nice to see Dex get her to loosen up a bit and have some fun. I loved the easy going nature of Dex and Lindy’s relationship but also the depth behind it as their feelings grew. The way Dex supported Lindy without pressuring her was really something sweet to witness. I was doing some serious swooning over Dex throughout this book. Then the continued grocery store innuendos had me rolling! So funny! I also really enjoyed the cameos from Mav and Bridget, then I absolutely love Mallory and her quirky, loud mouth self. I can’t wait for her and Theo’s book!
