Compact,great recording!
I bought a 2025 Toyota Crown and my first concern was the size of the front windshield and getting a camera small enough. I didn't want a bulky unit blocking my view and distracting me.I had this unit installed at the dealership. The manager there said they use Blackvue cameras on any units that there product doesn't work with because of it's reliability and quality. So I took their recommendations and went with this camera system. I have had it a month and after working out the initial operation of the camera with the Blackvu rep it has been easy to move around the app. I had questions about the camera being on wifi or the cloud and how to find the videos of my driving and parking. The app is super reliable, no glitches and fairly self explanatory I found outside of a couple initial questions about connectivity that their rep was great at assisting me with. I have a 64 gb SD card and it will record 4 hours of driving before it starts over again. If you want to see the cameras history just choose "cloud" , when your done choose "wifi" and the camera is ready to record. There is an audible recognition when you get in your car and you are informed verbally that the camera has started recording. From the pictures I posted you can see the compact size of the front and rear cameras. The camera is very sensitive to anything near or touching the car and will record immediately when it is parked. I take it to a hand wand car wash and it alerts when the exterior is touched with the high pressure water. The video that it takes is great, very clear. It connects easily and stays connected. I had it in the driveway for a few nights and could see a wide area front and back and across the street very clearly on the app. This camera is definitely a quality system. I'm glad it's on board. The only thing I might have changed was having it installed on the front passenger side rather than drivers. The camera also records inside the car and if I put my sun visor down it blocks it from recording inside. I'm not too concerned with that because I don't have kids in the car and make sure my visor is up when I park it, but something to think about if that's a concern for you.

Issues since day one, poor tech support and after sales support
I purchased this, the latest and greatest from Blackvue after years or running much cheaper other dash cams brand and models without issues. I was interested in the high picture quality and parking mode.My next mistake was perhaps installing it a month after receiving it and then trying to solve issues with support for another month after that. Now everyone is telling me it's too late. The camera is professionally installed with constant power (parking mode), switched power (driving mode) and ground. I have also tried 2 different high quality cards (the one provided with camera, and a San Disk max endurance). Blackvue support itself was slow. They first had me format, update the firmware (which I had done myself upon installation), and this wasn't without issues. The first few tries the camera would throw a model error. The firmware was the correct one and after a few tries with the very same file it went through and updated. The main issue persisted however. Every other time I switch off the car and thus camera, it repeats "parking mode on, parking mode off, parking mode on" a few times, like 3-4 times. Which is quite annoying. It only happens every other time I turn it off. After a couple of weeks of getting nowhere with Blackvue support they advised me to contact the seller. I explained it is Amazon. They had me give them the serial number to find out the distributor. This took more time. The distributor turned out turned out to be BlackBoxMyCar in Canada (I'm based in the US). BBMC gave me a RMA but no shipping label. They won't issue one saying it's been too long. I explained it's a brand new part and that I've been dealing with support for the past few weeks but no reply. I'm apparently responsible for international shipping back and forth and any custom fees associated. They also advise that they're not responsible for loss and their RMA form tells you to declare $10 value (I would be screwed if it did indeed get lost). At this point I have a $500 defective dashcam, Amazon tells me it's too late for a refund/replacement, Blackvue support is unable to help, and BlackBoxMyCar hasn't been the most pleasant to deal with either. It's been an expensive hassle. I should've kept my old $90 dashcam. Save yourself some hassle and buy something else.

Works as advertised
Video quality is good for purpose. App is a bit funky as WiFi disconnects often but not critical in my use case.

One of the Best Dash Cameras out there
Update: 11/16/24 as of now the front camera will cycle on and off if the back camera is plugged in. No matter how many times I’ve updated the firmware to resolve this issue it continues to have this problem. I’ve reached out to BlackVue for info and they believe it to be a fault rear camera, but I’m out of the warranty and replacement period.I've owned two BlackVue Dash cameras. One 900S and a 750S. The 750 eventually failed in the hardware after around 3-4 years of use. Unsure what it was but nothing would fix it.Seeing this be the newest one, I decided to shoot for it again. Price for 64GB at $389 was very reasonable for the 2CH. App usage for connectivity works seamlessly, better than my old ones for sure!If you are looking for something to protect you or others (in the event you are a witness) in the event of an accident this is a dash camera to consider!

"No SD card" error occurs from camera overheating such as under sunlight
The camera frequently displays a "no SD card" error when parked in the sun, even with parking mode disabled. This issue renders the camera barely functional in sunny conditions.Surprisingly, the problem persists even during winter if the camera is exposed to direct sunlight, as it seems to overheat easily. That said, when the camera does function, its performance is OK.
