Product Description ZĂRTZ is the third game of Project GIPF. Players avail themselves of white, grey, and black marbles from a common supply and use them on a gradually shrinking playing area. By placing the marbles tactically, capturing and isolating them, players try to create valuable combinations. Only if you play the right marble at the right moment and accept tactically clever sacrifices will you have a chance to win. Safety Warning not appropriate for children under the age of 3 P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Box Contains 1 x Strategy game See more

Mind Reversing Magic: A modern abstract classic
I took a chance choosing this title out of the possible GIPF series of abstracts. I see a tendency for people to recommend Yinsh or Tzaar and Dvonn before this one. However, I chose this one given it's distinct and different "appearance" or form factor, the diminishing modular board, variable win conditions and the key mechanism of "forcing moves" on your opponent where so far a lot of magic has happened. Less well advertised the game can all fit into a pouch and is therefore very portable. 2 pouches, 1 for the stones/marbles and one for the rings would have been ideal is the only area for recommendation. It's an outstanding example of a modern abstract game, and feels very fresh. An under-rated and over-looked gem. I've only gleaned the surface but it has been a very happy present for my brother, who quipped "I could play this all day." As said, I opted for a game that provides an unusual experience, there may be other games with greater depth of challenge in abstracts hence some of the above tendencies for other GIPF Project games, but this one was the best choice for me definitely.
