Classic Horror Oracle Cards – September 12, 2023

Classic Horror Oracle deck is awesome!!! This deck has way more cards than most oracles do, I think 52 total. The book has high quality ink, clear thoughful easy to read explanations. Each page has a cool quote from the movie. For example Jaws, "We're going to need a bigger boat." The cards themselves each have a 1 word title, no borders. The color scheme and art style is so unique to my other decks. They use mostly primary colors with splashes of blue & green against a solid black background so they are pretty dramatic. They really stand out and pop in a spread. I was happily surprised to see some gnarly classics show up like Candyman and The Fly! To be honest I don't know them all but some are the predecessors to today's modern versions of these Horror classics, that's why it's "classic horror", like Ringu card, today's version is The Ring. And American Werewolf in London. They are not numbered but they go in alphabetical order in the book. The black ink and cardstock holds up so good against my rough shuffling. They are the perfect amount of flexible. The box is good quality but a simple slider style with a fitting blood red background making it all come together so beautifully. There is a lot of wild symbolism in this one so be aware of that, it should be expected but some people are wary of pentagrams. The beginning of the book mentions using it in a protection circle of salt. With that said, it gets a high recommendation from me. If you like scary movies, this is your deck.

My husband has been getting more in touch with his spiritual side. He has got some crystals that he felt drawn to and was interested in a tarot deck. He’s a huge classic horror fan and I knew this would be a great starter deck to get him more interested and trying it out. He’s used it a few times and now wants a classic Ryder Wade. This tarot deck was in great condition, the illustrations are wonderful, and it had a good energy to it. Perfect deck for horror fans with positive energy.

This is a divination and horror movie lover’s dream oracle deck! I love the artwork, the movie selections, the keywords, and guidebook entries. I love that each movie has a quote and is identified in the guidebook. The messages make sense - this deck was created with thought and not just as a cash grab which seems to be happening more and more lately. I love the size - larger than a standard tarot card, but smaller (width) than an average oracle card. The only possible negative for some may be the drawer style box, but it’s not a big issue. I overhand shuffle so have no problem with the card stock. I can’t attest to how a riffle shuffler would like it. If you are purchasing to use or collect, I think you’ll be pleased in either instance. Highly recommend!

I really like this deck. The illustrations are beautifully, classically retro throwback but fresh. Instead of film titles on the cards, Diseño uses oracle prompts that correspond to the theme of the film represented. Clever. A mixture of classic horror titles with modern and contemporary fare. Cards are slightly oversize, which I like for this deck. Cardstock is good, color saturation is terrific and the rigid, two-part box is quality. Full color guidebook accompanies inside the box. Great for divination if you're a reader or novelty if you're not.

The Classic Horror Oracle is perfect for horror movie fans. The artwork is beautiful and the card stock is perfect. The choices of movie for each card was well thought-out to make sense. I don't know all the movies but I know the majority of them and I really think they work well.

This deck is so awesome!! The artwork is nice, and the back of the cards are to die for. I was curious how I was gonna feel about the deck because of the theme and I love them. Easy to navigate the guidebook for the meanings of the cards, and I’ve done 4 readings with this deck and nothing but good guiding energy!! The box is on the nicer side as well. 100% satisfied with this purchase and if you’re a horror fan, I’m sure you will be too!

Imagine a card deck that has cool art on some neat horror movies, well this is it. I don't regret buying it and will be using it for my reads but only 2 things I'm ok with it being different: the back card art could be different and the height of the deck could be a little more traditional size. The thickness is good, the art the best part of it, and the theme well Im a horror movie junkie so I love it. If I could manifest it to be at least 80 card set with the same style art/oracle and backing art a little different and 1 to 1.5 inches shorter I would so buy that too!

I’m obsessed! I’ve been waiting for this to release since it was announced. The deck is amazing and looks entirely vintage. Card stock is firm, I love the box. I was a bit worried that it had already been used since I wasn’t sealed in cellophane, but I opened it up and it was fine. I skimmed through the booklet and it tells you the film each card is inspired from as well as interpretations for upright and reversals. This is my favorite deck I’ve purchased this year. If you love horror and you’re a deck collector, this is definitely for you.
