Worked to replace my old Moen product
I used these to replace my old Moen tub spout but they didn’t come with directions. These pics are from Moen- one to remove my old product and one to install the new one. I was able to keep the base and only had to use parts 1 and 2. It was too high as is so I had to cut about an inch off (I just used a serrated kitchen knife), and then it fit and worked great.

good price, works well
Great replacement part. Very, very hard to get the old piece out, but fairly easy to reinstall. Had to buy some of the accessory pieces due to removing the plastic pieces that broke apart or were too stripped to be confidently reused. I thought I was going to have to hire a plumber at one point. This project may not be for a novice.

appears works, tho might need one more piece!
working, tho a star off to moen because it should have been way easier to learn this was required for conversion. i actually might need to replace the white part with a stubbier version to boot because of the timeframe of my unit (tho maybe also the faucet i chose? cause age also led me to this part number in the first place.black ring holds the cartridge down. black ring only needs to be used if you pull the cartridge out. (for me on 1 side.) we were able to remove (slowly) with long extra thin (small) needle nose pliers. held open to catch the edge on the black thing. that ring tool is way bigger than i imagined, & would have made it a smidge easier for the $3. glad it wasn't req.white larger = identical replacement in case u damaged the existing one.

Helped my Renovation
I just had my bathroom remodeled. Though I was keeping the tub, I really wanted to get rid of the 20 year old Moen crystal knob handles and put in some smooth chrome levers instead to match all the other new fixtures. I didn't realize the contractor was leaving the tub and valve in place so I didn't worry about the problem Moen always presents for changing trim, and I bought a Kohler faucet and levers I really liked. They did not fit, at all. I exchanged for Moen Eva, which had the same style of levers (in fact better made than the Kohler, as the Moen levers have metal housings instead of plastic). And that still wouldn't fit. But the Eva reviews included a mention of this adapter kit so I ordered it and with a little bit of work the contractor was able to use this to get the levers on and working. I had to ditch the Eva spout because it's too tall and keep the 20 year old spout, but at least I have pretty handles now thanks to this kit.

Quick and easy DIY Moen faucet repair
After dealing with a damaged Moen Monticello bathtub faucet handle for two years, YouTube came in handy to figure out what I needed. My worst fear to having to pull out the bathtub to access the valves was quickly shut down. Google came in next to help figure out the part number and of course Amazon came to the rescue with having the part available with next day service.Well long story short, my daughter installed the replacement parts in about 15 minutes and with the DIY price of $9.00, we saved $80.00 from a plumber coming over doing it on their own schedule.Easy install, parts available and no hassle on waiting for someone else to fix it

Saved us from replacing the valve
I strongly suggest looking at Moen's website for your intended trim kit! That was how I was recommended this part. Our garden tub had an old Moen Chateau trim kit installed about 20 years ago (I think valve model 4999). We were worried that the valve installed (now discontinued) would prevent us from replacing it without bringing in a plumber. Luckily, we found that the Moen Voss set was compatible with what we expected was our valve. The existing setup had stem extensions for the Moen Chateau crystal ball handles that were not compatible with the Voss handles. Luckily the part documentation for the trim kit also referenced this kit. It came with everything needed to replace the stem, although with what was already installed, I only needed the extensions and screws. I just had to cut off the top ring of the extension for the handles to sit flush. For a little over $10, this saved me from paying hundreds on a new valve with installation. Yes, it is plastic, but I won't complain for that price.
